That's the type of game you love to see from your captain. Aside from the points 34 was absolutely dominant every shift. What a hockey game!

Great play by Roslovic there to win his battle, keep the puck in the zone and the play alive as well. Love to see it.
What a rip from McKenna! Atta boooyyyyyyy!!!

The thing about dudes busting each others balls is that they have a lifetime of experience to understand what’s fair game. Her comment (innocent though it was) basically amounted to “you’re made of glass! Hahaha” which would never be said between two dudes in a friendly way.
Welp that was awkward

The funniest thing about the "Tavares is slow now, he can't play anymore" is that he has ALWAYS been "slow". True, he's gone from an 80 point guy to a 70 point guy but it's absolutely hilarious watching people argue that a 70 point player isn't good enough for a 2nd line.

Lots of fans are going to overreact to the final score tonight but I actually thought the Leafs played great. Deserved to win. Carried the bulk of play and were incredibly dangerous. OTT capitalized on some timely counter attacking chances. Better than any game last season.

Ok I’ll admit it. Outside of the first game, Morgan Rielly has been pretty decent.

This is EXACTLY why fans loved the show. In a media landscape where most journalists are scared of saying the wrong thing, they were honest and authentic. One of the few places you could go that didn't feel like a product intended to sell you something.
Are you fucking kidding me? The team was shit, they got called out for their bullshit and the org didn’t like it lmfao… maybe put a better product out there and worry about hiring the right people instead of Treliving. PATHETIC

GREAT shift from Cowan that lead to that goal. Absolute puck hound, kept it simple and let his skill come through as needed. This kid is a player.

Somehow the best player for the Leafs tonight is someone who has never even practiced with the team before.

Worst Leafs tonight relative to expectations (in order): 1. Raddysh 2. Bobrovsky 3. McKenna McKenna gets some slack considering he’s an 18 year old playing his first game but Leafs need more from all 3.

I regret to inform the league that Auston Matthews might actually be back. That was sick.

Hayley Wickenheiser is a classy person and I think she did an ok job in her role from what I could see but as a player she wasn’t even good enough to crack a 5th rate men’s league, she is not some irreplaceable cornerstone of this franchise.

Not like I know them or anything but the McKennas give off such a good impression. Seem like a salt of the earth Canadian family who love hockey and are proud of their son, unlike the money and status obsessed father of a certain former 4th overall Leafs draft pick.

Every player heading out the door here, except Benoit, was a massive pussy. Including Woll who would end up on the IR if a feather blew on him. Good riddance to all of them. Have to admit I was a hater when Chayka was announced as GM but I like what he’s done so far.

One guy to keep an eye out for with the Marlies next year is Miroslav Holinka. I started viewing him “accidentally” while pulling up Ethan MacKenzie highlights and this kid is a player. Projectible frame that he uses to impose himself physically, excellent hands and a great shot. His skating can improve a bit (not bad either he wins races to the puck in junior) but if he can figure that out it will shock me if this kid doesn’t play in the NHL.
