People probably look at my abstract compositry and think it’s the slop I’m just giving away because it has no value. Most of the time I’m hoping my work elicits a response along the lines of being cool, interesting, or macabre. I have a clear beginning and end I want the piece to be. It’s open, it’s honest, it shows everything I want people to see, but the abstract is really the only time I lead with emotion. When it begins I have no idea where it’s going to end. I just let something inside myself lead the way until hopefully the rational mind kicks in to stop the process before the piece gets ruined. For me, the chaos is the clarity. I just thought people should know that.
