Telling that the only Councillor in the Chamber to defend the Tánaiste's remarks was a racist, while his own party colleagues didn't mount a defence. Gutter politics from the leader of Fine Gael and soon to be Taoiseach.
Dublin City Council rejects Tánaiste’s claim large number of homeless have no housing right in Ireland. Simon Harris defended by Independent councillor, Malachy Steenson. irishtimes.com/politics/2026…

OMG - just unbelievable - it really shouldn’t be a difficult question. What on earth has happened to the Labour Party, to international law and frankly to any kind of moral compass? Such craven cowardice is deeply dangerous
If Donald Trump moves on Greenland will you condemn it? “We’re not going to give a running commentary” “You can't say Donald Trump shouldn't invade Greenland?” “Diplomacy is delicate, which means we're not here to give a running commentary in the news”

Instead of repeatedly restating what Israel is required to do under international law, why don’t these 14 countries try doing what’s required of *them* under international law? Is it because it’s more challenging than rehashing the same statement for thirty years?

Just look at the comments and quote tweets of this post to get an idea of the shit hole this platform has become. The blue tick warriors. Fortunate to work with Reuben and his team, and they are brilliant at what they do.

This is an excellent analysis of this Govt’s cancellation of vital rail projects around the country 👏 We are going backwards on public transport - more roads will not solve our traffic congestion issues, or improve our air quality or health, or reduce our emissions 😳
They've done it again, they've cut more rail projects. The most criminal one for me is cancelling the reopening of the Waterford-Wexford/Rosslare line. On the left is the All-island Rail Review published by the last government and on the right is the plan published today.

It’s official - the Arts Council has today agreed to recognise comedy as art 🙌 From next year comedians can apply for arts grants and funding just like musicians, writers, painters, etc 🎭 Fair play to Ailis McCarthy for leading the campaign & @aosnodaigh for his Bill ✊
We're pleased to share a schedule of funding opportunities for 2026: artscouncil.ie/news/2026-fun… We will work to maintain stability and continuity in our funding and sector supports in 2026 and will prioritise our support of arts organisational infrastructure. 📷: Maurice Gunning

Four months after it was promised, we finally have the government's transport investment plan between now and 2030. It's bad. Roads are in, public transport is out. A lot of public transport projects being put on the long-finger to make funding available for new roads.
