Curious how you reached this conclusion. Who did you interview? How many interviews did you conduct? What set of documents did you review? For how many unis? My limited experience suggests that making broad generalizations about every university with wrt AI is probably unwise.
The most black-pilling part of my run as a professor was watching the same colleges that had rightly moved heaven and earth to ensure they could keep students on campus during the pandemic—and thus keep cashing sweet, sweet room and board checks—do literally nothing about AI. 1/
