There are medical accounts on X that mainly broadcast conclusions. And there are accounts that actually help people understand infectious disease, uncertainty, evidence—and occasionally why something circulating online is simply nonsense. One worth knowing: @DrNeilStone. A short thread. 🧵

One thing that you can be sure of. Urato will not disparage Nattokinase or any other "supplement" because they are pushed by anti-medical science, like him.

What it means is, that anybody who uses the term "turbo cancer" is a turbo idiot. Where and when, exactly do you think turbo cancer started happening?

@marklewismd The South Korean scientists found a cancer drug, that if given in low doses, might improve cellular function, life span. (....or so they claim). I would NEVER have guessed this cancer drug....

Homoharringtonine is a plant alkaloid, developed in China. It is no longer approved in the US, simply, I think, because there is no need for it. When approved 14 years ago, the cost was outrageous. Here's the structure.

Curious drug, in part because of the unusual chemical structure. You just don't make those easily in the lab. I first heard about it in 1986, I think. Got approved for CML in 2000, a year before the targeted drug Gleevec became available, making HH obsolete.

If @RandPaul wasn’t jumping to conclusions, he’d understand that few point mutations didn’t turn distant bat viruses studied under the U.S. grant into SARS-CoV-2. If a lab origin occurred, it required a different precursor—an undisclosed sample or research outside u.s. funding.

This is called "confabulation." It's a classic sign of dementia. Parts of his mind no longer work, so the brain fills it in with falsehoods and crazy fantasy. But the dementia patient actually believes it to be true. He's absolutely nuts. It's why there's a 25th Amendment.
Trump claims he was basically lifted out of the rubble on 9/11: "Two fireman, big strong guys, they grabbed me under the arms -- 'got to get our of here!' -- and they literally lifted me up, and they started running with me."
Community note
Trump was miles from Ground Zero on 9/11, speaking by phone from his office. He visited the area days later. His story of being lifted from the rubble by firefighters first appeared in 2021 and lacks corroborating evidence. politifact.com/factchecks/202… usatoday.com/story/news/fac… newsweek.com/fact-check-did…
