Enabling the agentic shift worldwide, starting with commerce. Building the leading Agentic commerce infrastructure.

What happens if we continue to build Agents with models? The world will process tokens, pay for tokens, and will keep needing more compute, and energy. Models will continue to be non-aligned, unstable, and lack grounding in reality. It will continue to have baked in clever statistical compute with no learning or adaptability. AGI or SSI will not be possible. This means building Agents with models is no Progress. Furthermore, building Agents on models, can lead to catastrophic financial outcomes to businesses who depend on them and even the economy or finance. What is the fix? The world needs Agents that adapt and learn, not better models. Furthermore, any Agent build on top of models are also not Agents. They are just gobbled up mess. We need a new standard for building Agents on the internet. The Agents need to be efficient while also learn and adapt on the fly. We at AFCP AI are all about this Agentic shift. If you are excited to solve some of the worlds biggest problems in transitioning the world to an Agentic era, talk to us. Here is our thesis: afcp.ai/our-thesis/

The Agentic Internet doesn't need better models. It needs a new foundation. Models are a great starting point. We're building the road. Today's internet was built for humans clicking. Tomorrow's is agents acting alongside humans and themselves. There will be billions of them, 24/7.

Adding to Lecun's point. AI has not even cracked intelligence in a worm or its' senses. It has not cracked what intelligence is at a fundamental level. What it has cracked? Artificial cleverness. Will this get better? Yes with time. Are models the way? a good starting point, but not what is needed. Agents which learn continuously and adapt with context is what the world needs. The whole world needs to move to agentic era. The Agents for such an era will be get clever with time/context and will also be more efficient and sustainable for the world. I am building for the Agentic internet and commerce era.
Yann LeCun says: "despite all the wonderful things AI can do today, we're still very far from matching human and animal intelligence. it's not just around the corner — it's not going to happen in the next 2 years" Your cat understands the physical world better than today's most powerful AI systems

While I see the AI industry trying to regulate, I also feel that the internet as an industry was never really regulated. There are standards on the internet and people follow that or rather use it to build things. I rather think that the Agentic internet will be the same with a set of protocols and standards to create Agents on the internet. I am working to create the foundations of the Agentic internet. These foundations will have standards which will make the deployment and creation of Agents a standard. This is much needed, and also an alignment is needed from all companies to use this standard, just like it was done for the internet. Currently, all AI companies are doing whatever the hell they want and creating/releasing models. These models are not Agents. Hence the world needs new premises. I am working on these premises.
It’s entirely plausible that the AI industry can deal with safety and security through a set of shared standards and practices for the foreseeable future. At some point in capability progress there will inevitably be greater oversight, testing, and layers of liability and regulation, but we are still in a phase where the industry can absolutely align on these efforts collectively. Awesome to see this come together so quickly and for the whole industry to support progress without reducing competition. This certainly points to a much brighter future for AI.

I would add that there is a huge opportunity to be the development and deployment layer for Agents on the internet. We are building that for commerce and will eventually do that for the whole internet. We are building the foundational platform to build and run shopper Agents on the internet. Such a platform, needs another paradigm. A paradigm that creates Efficient Agents on the internet. These Agents consume less compute or energy, and work on delivering great experiences for people. They can also self learn and get better. I am working on such a paradigm. If you are builder in AI and want to transform commerce and the internet into Agentic, DM me.
There's a huge opportunity right now in being the deployment layer for AI into the economy. The amount of work it takes to change out workflows in enterprises tends to be far greater than anyone realizes or would prefer. Clearly this is what the applied layer of AI is going to look like in the form of software and agents, but also it opens up new services firms opportunities. Legacy systems need to be moved to the cloud, data organization and access needs to be updated, software needs to be connected to agents in new ways, workflows need to be reengineered for agents, HITL needs to be figured out for the process, evals need to be generated and maintained, and the entire system needs to be continually updated as new models get released and new capabilities emerge. And the full list may even be longer. AI is not the same as just deploying software. Software you generally did the implementation of an existing, well understood category of technology, then stepped back and the customer kept running. With AI agents, you're delivering actual work augmentation to the organization, which has a completely different set of complexities associated with it. You're no longer deploying tools that the company is merely enabled by, you're deploying work output in a process. Completely different implementation and enablement process. As a result, this is going to open up lots of new kinds of firms and plays for existing firms to diffuse AI into organizations. We're going to see approaches by industry, by size of company, and by problem inside of companies. Traditional SIs will modernize and adapt (some will clearly not adapt as well), and new entrants will also be founded in this period that take advantage of this window. Great time to be an FDE or FDE firm.

@alexandr_wang, speaking about having a second mind besides your own; at afcp.ai we are building an artificial shopper's mind which can figure out a shopper's intentions before they can even voice it out loud. Our shopper agent is like a digital friend which lives with them forever, no matter which device they are on.

Amidst all this happening I still believe that "agents" in the real sense of the term are yet to be cracked. "Agents" built on top of models and given a harness are not quite close to mimicking agents in the real world. Agents in the real world i.e. biological agents do not revolve around "models" per se. Look at colonies of bees, ants or say migratory birds like the godwit. They are true agents in the real sense which are adaptable, maintain autonomy and also have a collective intelligence. There is no "model" defining what they have to do. And they do not need to be "frozen" like the underlying models in order to be adaptive. Then we have things like Operator and then Muse which use other websites and apps just like a smart bot operating over them. Although, the state of the art at the moment seems like "agents" and are defined as "agents", they are still a far cry from agents but are perceived to be.

Sequoia’s Doug Leone on the kind of founders he wants to back: > “An outlier in something in life.” > “Irreverent. They don’t listen.” > A founder who doesn’t “change his or her mind depending on who they last spoke to.” > Someone who goes to sleep thinking about the problem, wakes up thinking about the solution, and is “crystal clear in what they want to build.” > “No one can detract them. Driven like crazy.” These are the people we find early and bet in The Bridge.

yes, sacrifice is the heart of it. It makes me sad tho, I sacrificed a lot, but also know its joy.
What personality flaw do exceptional founders disproportionately have? I asked @gokulr. His full answer covers contrarian thinking, trust, obsession, and their costs. From Tech Fit Talks with Ethan Lockshin.

Yes, overestimate for opportunity. Building efficient AI Agents is a huge opportunity. This is what our lab, AFCP AI is all about.
.@JeffBezos on why thinking small is a self-fulfilling prophecy: "It's generally human nature to overestimate risk and underestimate opportunity. Entrepreneurs would be well advised to bias against that piece of human nature — the risks are probably not as big as you perceive, and the opportunities may be bigger than you perceive. You call it confidence, but maybe it's just accepting that that's a human bias and trying to compensate against it. The second thing I would point out is that thinking small is a self-fulfilling prophecy."

AI is in crisis right now. That said, I genuinely like the concept and personally, I use LLMs a lot. I see them as a good starting point for AI. But let's be honest: we're only 5% of the way there. I also dislike how models are engineered and the principles behind how they're built. It's overwhelming what's being done today with a lack of visibility, verification, and judgment. So what comes next? AI Agents. Agentic AI built on neuro-symbolic and experiential AI methods. By implementing these approaches, we can deliver AI Agents that are efficient, affordable, and have a richer understanding of the world. That's what we at AFCP AI are building for. AFCP AI is a research lab building the foundational platform for creating efficient agents on the internet. afcp.ai #AICrisis #NeedforbetterAI #AgenticAI #AIAgents #neurosymbolicAI #experientialAI

So many people think it's cool to "not care," about anything... But every person I've ever worked with who does great things, cares deeply. Be deeply engaged & passionate about what you do. It's not only infectious..it's how people change the world.

Why build multi-platform code, when we can build an Agent? There is huge friction while creating apps on the internet. I faced such pains. We have to create app for desktop, web, mobile, and apps(ios and android). This is a pain and needs to stop. We are building the Agent ecosystem that helps create Agents for this new world. Make building frictionless again: afcp.ai #stopmultiplatformcode #Agents #AIAgents

I've made 300+ pre-seed investments. The founders who died slowest all had one thing in common: they stopped talking to customers and started talking to their dashboard. Marcus Aurelius ran an empire and still walked the Forum. You have 40 users. Go see them.

AI lacks magic and interactivity. Token processing implemented by model-first technology is a nightmare. We can change this if we focus on building Agents with a superior experience. The whole world will eventually use Agents instead of clicking, searching, or typing. Most digital experiences will be Agent-driven. We are building technology to enable this shift. We are building an Agentic platform that helps online retailers and consumers transition to an Agent-driven world. Businesses create Agents for their customers and use our platform to automate their operational tasks. #AFCPAI #AGENTEXPERIENCES #AGENTICAI #AIAGENTS #AI

How do you investigate a catastrophe 3,000 times bigger than the last five combined? Bill Gurley @bgurley answered with a line from Richard Feynman. At Jason Calacanis's @Jason All-In Summit, Gurley sized COVID-19 at 15 million deaths against roughly 5,000 combined for Surfside, the 737 MAX, Katrina, Fukushima and Challenger. Then he recalled Feynman on the Challenger panel, told once to soften his tone, replying: "But seven people died." Gurley's question back to the room: if seven deaths justified dropping the niceties then, what does 15 million justify now? The size of a catastrophe should set the limit on how much anyone gets to protect an institution's comfort while investigating it. That limit moves with the death count, not with who's uncomfortable answering. Podcast Alpha's newsletter breaks down every number behind Gurley's 3,000x comparison and what it leaves out. podcastalpha.substack.com Source: All-In Podcast - youtube.com/watch?v=A4Q7zAay…
