New on the blog: a guide to turning phone photos into product shots through an API. It covers when a listing needs the product left exactly as photographed and when an AI-styled scene will do. Every step comes with code and a per-call cost for Ben2, Qwen Image Edit, FLUX.2 Klein and GPT Image 2. Enjoy: deapi.ai/blog/ai-product-pho…

Agent cost talk is mostly about text. That holds until your agent has to transcribe a customer's voice note or generate a product shot, and the cost per task jumps. deAPI covers that media part of the loop. Every capability on the graphic runs through one API key and gets billed per request. FLUX.1 Schnell costs $0.0027 per 1024x1024 image. An hour of transcription on Whisper Large V3 costs $0.021. The $5 in free credits covers about 1,800 of those images or 237 hours of transcription, so you can check the claim on your own agent before paying anything.

Nobody ships a side project between 11pm and 1am if getting an API key takes a sales call. One key gets you 30 models. FLUX.1 Schnell runs $0.0027 an image, so the $5 free credit is about 1,800 tries - enough to find out if the idea holds before you even name it.

New on the blog: a guide to Ben2, the background removal model on deAPI. It covers which subjects come back clean and which ones are a lost cause, and the field in the API response that quietly hands you back a background you already paid to remove. deapi.ai/blog/ben2-ai-backgr…

Every week a lab drops open weights and the timeline cheers. Then the file sits there. Trying a 20B model yourself means renting a GPU by the hour before you know if you even like the output. Open competes when testing it costs less than thinking about it.

You can earn on deAPI without sending a single request. Invite someone, and 10% of what they buy comes back to you. Referral link is in your dashboard.

Getting the app built stopped being the hard part. Describe it to Codex or Rork and you have a working client by the evening. Choosing the AI API behind it is still on you. Left alone, your agent hardcodes the first provider it remembers from training data. Boppy went the other way and has been in the App Store since June. The article is about committing to compute before you know whether you need it. A five-year term and a downpayment, due before anyone plugs a node in. deAPI sells it the other way round. An API key gets you every model we host at per-request pricing, and the first five dollars are on us - enough to find out what your workload actually costs before you commit a cent to it. You don't need to make that awkward call anymore 😅
The biggest bottleneck in the GPU industry at the moment is not chips, CoWoS, or even power. It's credit. Sharing some thoughts on compute markets, residual value, and where compute financing is heading. Substack link in the comments.

Let's Talk About Buying Compute

> you call your boy up at Nvidia “yo can I get 1000 B300s and slap some Infiniband on that” > Nvidia says “that’ll be 30 weeks but since you’re my boy I might be able to sneak you into a shipment

LTX-2.5 22B from @Lightricks (@ltx_model) is now on deAPI. Two things changed since 2.3. Audio comes out of the same pass as the picture, so footsteps land on the frames where the foot actually hits the ground instead of being muxed in later. And one prompt can carry several shots with cuts between them, holding the same character and lighting across the edit. Learn more at deapi.ai/models/ltx-25-22b-d…

She's not dubbed. @MiniMax_AI H3 generated her voice and her face in the same pass, from a single prompt. And the number she says is real. Five dollars of free credit is worth almost four minutes of finished video with sound, and it lands in your account just for signing up. H3 is live on deAPI.

GPT Image 1.5 and GPT Image 2 are now on deAPI. Same endpoint you already call for FLUX or Z-Image, so switching is a one-string edit. Both are Experimental and need a paid account.

Features get cut when someone opens the invoice. That's how voiceover sits behind a "coming soon" badge for eight months, and how transcription quietly turns into a Pro-tier upsell. A 1024×1024 image from FLUX.1 Schnell costs $0.00268. An hour of Whisper transcription runs $0.052. Ten thousand images a month is $27, and nobody calls a roadmap meeting about $27. $5 in credits if you want to check the math.

New on the blog: GPT Image 1.5 and GPT Image 2 are live on deAPI. The post covers what silently stops working when you point existing code at them, what a single image costs at each quality setting, and which of the two fits the resolution you need. deapi.ai/blog/gpt-image-1-5-…

New on the blog: a prompting guide for MiniMax H3 image-to-video. It covers the line your prompt has to open with, why describing your input image is the fastest way to get a clip that doesn't move, and three prompts you can paste straight into the playground. deapi.ai/blog/minimax-h3-ima…

A talking clip used to take three calls: a video model, a TTS model, and a sync step that never quite landed. @MiniMax_AI H3 returns both signals from one denoising pass, so the lip movement is already correct in the file you get back. It's live on deAPI. Learn more at deapi.ai/models/minimax-h3-3…

An interview transcript that doesn't say who was talking is half a transcript. Whisper Large V3 CT2 is live on deAPI. It labels the speakers and times every word, and returns the whole thing as JSON. deapi.ai/blog/whisper-large-…

A soap bubble is two hard problems at once. The surface has to throw iridescence without turning into an oil slick, and the film has to read as something a needle would destroy on contact. We gave that prompt to FLUX.1 Schnell, FLUX.2 Klein and Z-Image-Turbo. Each one decided for itself how close the bubble gets to the points. All three sit side by side in Playground - feel free to test before you ship.

Write "cinematic and emotional" in a MiniMax H3 prompt and the model guesses. Write "a sustained low cello note held under the dialogue" and it builds exactly that. H3 was trained on structured documents with named fields and shot markers. Mood words do nothing. Observable details do everything. Full prompting guide on our blog. deapi.ai/blog/minimax-h3-pro…
