This campaign of panic was super effective, and we have our Debug Pet for #18 😊
Red alert. Red alert! We don't have a pet photo for Debug #18 - it's the one thing we need before it goes to the printers! Does you have a photo of your pet with an issue of the magazine? Now's your chance to give them indie gaming stardom

What game did you completely change your mind about? Answers may appear in the next issue, so be as honest as possible. This one could get a little spicy...

We were recently discussing whether these games could count as indies… Them being available as standalone titles somewhat reignites that point 🤔
Roblox games will soon be able to compete in the wild as standalone apps on third-party storefronts pcgamer.com/software/platfor…

Tim was a lovely guy, a brilliant chef and a fantastic writer. He was also a father and a husband, and a man who never lost his love for videogames. He'll be sorely missed.
We are deeply saddened to share the news that our colleague Tim Smith passed away earlier this week. Tim joined Debug as Sub Editor earlier this year, and although our time working together was far too short, we were enormously grateful to have someone of his experience and knowledge as part of the team. For those who aren’t aware, Tim had an extraordinary career in publishing and games journalism spanning several decades. His work included time at Future Publishing, Team17, Knapp Communications and SPOnG, where he served as Editorial Director, alongside a long career as a freelance writer, editor and researcher. The chances are if you read print magazines in the 80s and 90s, you’ll have encountered his work. Everyone at Debug sends their deepest condolences to Tim’s family, friends and all those who knew and worked with him.

Saddened to hear. Only knew Tim online, mainly here (when Spong was an MCV partner). Post-games he became a student & was about to start work as a teaching assistant. He'd had a daughter wtih cerebral palsy and was inspired by time with her to support SEND kids. Life is short 💔
