At the Prayer Vigil with the young people of France, they reenact the incredible history of the Church of France, from the arrival of Lazarus and his sister Mary Magdalene, the martyrdom of St. Denis, the baptism of Clovis, the purchase of the Crown of Thorns of Our Lord by St. Louis IX, St. Joan of Arc, the countless Saints of the eldest daughter of the Church, the martyrs of the French Revolution, all the way to the great St. Thérèse of Lisieux.

It’s important that Europe learns fast, that the best and also most cost efficient space capabilities are not going to delivered by exclusively government funded revenue lines. Indeed it should be telling to see which space initiatives Europe’s adversaries are trying to stop, and which space initiatives they aren’t interfering with. They know which is the greater competitive threat to them. Dedicated government owned and operated solutions are always going to be coming back looking for more money, are going to reach obsolescence faster, and are more likely to get stranded as White Elephants.

Woke Puritanism is the worst Puritanism. I say that as a life-long teetotaller that ‘took the pledge’ and have never drank alcohol, done as a Catholic act of self denial ‘offered up’ as a kind of prayer for the conversion and healing of alcoholics (kind of like giving up something for Lent but doing it for your whole life instead). It’s called ‘The Pioneer Total Abstinence Association’. Now if you consider that strange, keep in mind that I look at the Irish wokeitariat’s obsession against alcoholic beverages (and people’s ability to affordably enjoy them) as stranger still.
