Did you know that over 215,000 $DCR were never minted, and will never be minted, due to missed tickets in the hybrid consensus system?
Decred blocks are approved by 5 random ticket-holders voting. Almost always all 5 show up, but sometimes one misses, usually because a wallet was offline, a block came too fast, or a PoW miner was poorly connected. When that happens, the block pays out less DCR, and those coins are never created.
Nothing's burned; they just never get minted. Over Decred's life that's added up to ~215,243 DCR that never entered existence.
The result? Decred's real supply lands under 21M, making every coin a little more scarce.

- Critical consensus-related security fix
- Prevents a potential periodic deanonymization mixing attack
- Several fixes for potential network-related denial-of-service (DoS) attacks
- Improved mixing session expiry
Please upgrade as soon as you can. A release for Decrediton on Windows is not yet available, but should be out within the next day.
