Bran didn’t just watch Hodor die. He’s the reason Hodor existed in the first place.
We remember the scene as Hodor sacrificing himself to save Bran.
But Hodor didn’t choose that life.
Bran reached into a child’s mind decades in the past, broke him and unknowingly created the man who would spend his entire life saying one word.
Then, when Bran needed him most, that same damage became useful.
Hodor’s “sacrifice” was built on something Bran had already taken from him.
We call it Hodor’s heroic ending because admitting Bran caused his entire life to become a tragedy makes the scene a lot harder to romanticize.

Book Ginny had already had Voldemort in her head. She hexed people on a staircase, flew like she meant it, and treated Harry like a boy instead of a prophecy.
That’s what HBP is doing. Not a sudden crush. A year of him realizing the girl who survived a diary doesn’t need saving.
The films kept the kisses and lost the reason.
No bat-bogey and No Quidditch mouth. No “I’m not a piece of the Chosen One.” Just two people standing where a script pointed.
They didn’t rob you of a couple. They robbed you of the girl the books actually wrote, then asked a staircase scene to do her job.

HARRY yearned so badly for Ginny and nothing will ever change my mind about that. Their relationship in the books actually felt like something that grew naturally. Harry slowly started noticing her differently, he loved being around her, he wanted to spend time with her, and when he finally realized how he felt, he was completely gone for her.
and that’s exactly why the movies frustrate me so much 😭 because they took all that chemistry, development, and personality out of their relationship and barely gave us anything to work with. Book Harry and Ginny actually felt like two people who genuinely understood each other, while movie Harry and Ginny sometimes felt like they were just standing next to each other because the script said they were a couple.
they could have been one of the best relationships in the entire series if the movies had given Ginny and their relationship the same attention they got in the books. tell me I’m not the only one who feels like the movies completely robbed us of Harry and Ginny?
