NH state law means they are going to do what they are going to do. Also, as an Iowa Democrat, I won't be able to cast a legal vote in the Democratic Presidential Primary, so great job @DNC. Some key questions after reading the text of the steel mill bill: What protections are there for workers? What clawbacks are included? Will there be a PLA? The bill's language is murky about the parent company's involvement with a sanctioned Russian State Bank and whether that violates IEDA provisions. It also appears that tax credits would be paid out before the mill is built; the repayment language is "may," not "shall"; the tax credit is refundable and sellable. This seems far from a "done deal"

This economic pain is the fault of @hinsonashley and her consistent, unwavering support of Donald Trump. Iran War- for it. Tariffs- for it. Blocking the Epstein File Release- for it. There will be no way to spin herself out of this.
Iowans are being squeezed and shouldn’t have to foot the bill at the pump or the checkout line for the war in Iran. We need to use every option at our disposal to provide some relief from high prices.
That includes suspending the gas tax, pausing diesel exports, unleashing E-15 everywhere we can, reinstating the $1/gallon biodiesel tax credit, and creating a diesel relief program to help our farmers and truckers being crushed by the high costs.
While doing this, we should also ensure our highway trust fund is replenished, so that Iowans don’t suffer from crumbling roads and bridges while relief comes our way now. These actions to lower costs are needed ASAP, and the war needs to be brought to a successful and immediate end.
I am working every day to deliver bipartisan results for Iowans and I will work with anyone who is ready to tackle this challenge immediately.
