Played through the demo of PC-98 horror game "Dead of the Brain" and would like to share why FAKKU's version is more than just a port but rather easily the most definitive version of the game as it provides a lot of cool technical features.
The game provides your typical graphics and scaling options (sharp, integer, smooth) as well as a CRT filter. Text language can be instantly switched between English, Japanese, and Chinese.
But what impressed me was the ability to show hover hints and hitboxes of interactables which will help those unsure on how to progress.
Not only that, you have the option to choose the PC-98, PC Engine, X68000, or MSX2 versions of the soundtrack to listen to while playing! One FAKKU staff said this was a feature they really wanted to implement so I'm glad that they were able to!
