Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang has reaffirmed the Plateau State Government’s commitment to families affected by the violence experienced across parts of the State between March and July 2025. From Barkin Ladi to Bassa, Bokkos to Mangu, Riyom and other affected communities, families lost loved ones, homes were destroyed, livelihoods were disrupted, and many were forced to leave communities they had called home for decades. Among those affected are farmers, traders, widows, widowers, children, elderly persons and persons living with disabilities. The Governor noted that the intervention is more than a disbursement of funds; it is an acknowledgement of the pain and losses suffered by affected families and a demonstration that their experiences and future matter to the government. A total of ₦1.5 billion in humanitarian assistance is being provided to support 1,571 affected heads of households. The intervention comprises ₦1 billion donated by Her Excellency, the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, and ₦500 million from the Plateau State Government. Governor Mutfwang expressed profound appreciation to Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, for the generous intervention and for standing with the people of Plateau State at a difficult time. While acknowledging that no financial assistance can replace a lost loved one or erase the trauma of displacement and destruction, the Governor said the intervention will provide immediate relief and help affected families begin rebuilding their lives and livelihoods. He further emphasised that the government’s responsibility goes beyond immediate relief. The next phase will focus on restoring livelihoods, supporting farmers to return to their farms, rebuilding affected means of income, and creating the security and peaceful conditions necessary for communities to return home. Governor Mutfwang has also directed affected communities to submit their priority projects through their respective Local Government Councils to the Interministerial Committee for consideration and action, with the aim of supporting community-led recovery and development. The Governor stressed that the true measure of the intervention will not simply be the amount disbursed, but whether affected families are able to stand again, livelihoods are restored, and communities can return home safely and with dignity. The Plateau State Government remains committed to standing with affected families, supporting recovery, facilitating safe return, promoting peaceful coexistence and creating the conditions for sustainable development across the State.

The construction of the Ganawuri–Korafan Road marks another important milestone in the ongoing development of road infrastructure. The project is set to improve connectivity, ease movement, and make transportation more convenient for road users. The progress of the road construction has been met with appreciation, as people recognize the importance of the project and the positive impact it will have when completed. The people sincerely appreciate the Governor for his efforts and commitment toward seeing the construction of this important road become a reality.

The historic low for STX/BTC was always 1,000 sats. Last cycle was strange: (a) Stacks was the first project to cross the previous all-time-high last cycle. It ran as bitcoin beta before the 2024 halving. Earlier/faster than we expected, honestly. (b) Stacks peaked in Dec 2025 (ten months before the bitcoin peak) and has been in a bear for 20 months already. Much longer than other assets. (c) This bear Stacks got hit much worse than before. Breaking the historic 1,000 sats line. Even now we are at 300 sats. With fundamentals at an all-time high, in my view, this is one of the most asymmetric market positions. Not financial advice, but my family office is positioned accordingly. We think that $0.77 represents what STX/BTC should’ve been at (1,000 sats, the historic low, and BTC at 77,000). That’s roughly a 3x from here. But that is just catching up to going into an ultra-negative zone against BTC. As bitcoin starts to recover, the market will start looking for the bitcoin beta, and there is just no other asset. See Hal Press 2023 thesis for a detailed breakdown of this. But the bitcoin beta is just one part, maybe a smaller part now because the real fundamental shift is the launch of bitcoin staking with 5% institutional STX purchase/demand to participate. This simply didn’t exist before and is a 100B-200B market. I’m writing publicly about this because after the Binance risk monitoring tag I promised to stop being the “humble engineer” and speak my mind. These are my unfiltered thoughts. Not financial advice. The Governor disclosed that security agencies had received intelligence about the impending attack and that necessary measures were taken, yet the attack still occurred. Taking responsibility for the security failure, he said: “I stand with pain in my heart as the Chief Security Officer that I must take responsibility for the failure of orders.” Governor Mutfwang reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to securing Plateau State, declaring that he is prepared to make the ultimate sacrifice if that is what it takes to protect the people. He also urged Plateau citizens to remain alert and vigilant, noting that the government has not yet accelerated the return of internally displaced persons to their ancestral homes because of prevailing security concerns. However, he revealed that, beyond the pilot project already underway in Bassa, elaborate arrangements have been made to commence an aggressive programme to return displaced citizens to their ancestral communities as soon as the rains are over. The Governor stressed that the mission is bigger than politics: “This is not politics. I often tell people I'm not a politician. I happen to be in politics by necessity, and I came with only one mission: that I will make Plateau better than I met it.” The commitment remains clear: protect the people, reclaim every inch of Plateau territory, and build a safer Plateau for all.
