Cowboys EVP Stephen Jones on @1053thefan said they “absolutely” believe in Brian Schottenheimer. “There’s not any question in Jerry and my mind. He has the team. There’s no question they want to go out there and execute and make things happen. Feel really good about our coaching staff. We just got to have it continue to evolve and get to a point to where we can win these football games.”

I love how he had to throw in the last point about your child which completely destroys his argument. All sports parents are the same … BUT WHAT ABOUT MY KID?

"Rookie mistakes for a guy that's been around." 5th-year QB, 4th-year starter. Is this a Penn State problem or a Rocco Becht problem? 🤔👇 #PennState

Rocco Problem. Looking back on it, I feel like the “most experienced quarterback in college football” rhetoric was being kind to Rocco. If that is the only positive thing you can come up with for a 5th year guy, I feel it’s more damning than anything else.

I still think there is a pathway to bring Chesney back to Penn State. It may not be next year, but once Kraft is fired the new AD may want to bring in his own guy.

Do they get more minutes than Martone and Michkov? That is the big question, Anthony.

Idk maybe put him back in a 4-2-5 where he made his money in college. He played a hybrid safety. This 3-4 scheme is a disaster.

Fully expected the Cowboys to lose this game, but for *that* to be the performance after a mini-bye and a bunch of supposed shakeup is absolutely wild. one of the more lifeless, lost performances I can remember. and that's becoming a long list after the last couple years!

This is absolutely true.
Just wanna say that Klayton Adams alluded to this in his presser. He mentioned them needing to reevaluate their tendencies. I think teams have got a beat on this offense and they are struggling to adjust.

So then Adams needs to call the plays.

A top-3 receiver, a top-10 receiver, a top-8 QB, a top-3 guard, a running back coming off a career year, a rising talent at left tackle and right guard ... all coming off a year that saw the unit pace the league in multiple categories. What happened to the Dallas offense?

Talked to equipment guys about this. New field but it’s still a problem at night.

Thoughts on the lack of adjusting against the blitz? Dak has not even checked at the line, which he is usually does.
95
This game is over, but I leave encouraged by the defensive improvement for the first time this year (mainly because of JPJ). But now the offense, Dak and Schottenheimer are a problem. Jerry's history is waiting too long to replace head coaches and not wanting to pay someone to be unemployed. Does this feel as bad as Wade after GB to make Jerry act now? Who would replace him? Is it time for Klayton Adams to call plays? Is Dak shook? I'd rather lose this way tonight than the defense giving up 30. This crappy division (and Jerry's optimism) will prevent selling.

When you have these different problems, it's usually the sign of a bad football team. Schotty is way over his head. What a sell job he must have done to the Jones'
43
OMG. They said on the field that DaRon Bland didn't have possession for an INT. Then they said replay assist ruled it an INT, causing the Cowboys to celebrate. Then they said they reviewed it and it wasn't an INT. Unreal.
