Today in Army history: Victory Over Japan (VJ Day) in WWII, 2 September 1945. The formal surrender of Japan marked the official end of a devastating conflict. Today, we pause to reflect on the sacrifices made by the Soldiers who fought across the Pacific theater. 🎥 Center of Military History

This is a pretty big shift in U.S. cyber policy. The White House is setting up a program that would let private cybersecurity companies conduct government-authorized operations against foreign cybercriminal groups, including surveillance and disruption of their infrastructure. Not exactly “hack back,” but definitely a major expansion of the private sector’s role in offensive cyber operations. whitehouse.gov/presidential-…

Every day leading up to August 25, the 35th anniversary of Linux, we'll be sharing a Linux milestone. First up: In April 1991, 21-year-old Linus Torvalds wasn't trying to build an OS. He was writing a terminal emulator for his new 386 PC to connect to his university's Unix servers. That side project became Linux. cs.cmu.edu/~awb/linux.histor… #Linux35

We can't forget what they did for all of US.
Eighty-two years ago today, the fate of the free world turned on the courage of ordinary men asked to do the extraordinary. On June 6, 1944, more than 156,000 Allied soldiers crossed the English Channel and stormed the beaches of Normandy — many knowing they might never return. They came not for glory, but for something far greater: the liberation of a continent crushed under tyranny. D-Day was not simply a military operation — it was the moment the tide of history changed, purchased at an almost incomprehensible cost in blood and sacrifice. As we mark the 82nd anniversary, we don’t simply remember a battle. We remember the men behind it — their fear, their faith, and their extraordinary willingness to give everything so that others could live free. That debt does not expire with time. It only deepens. @Normandy @WW2Facts #dday #normandy #dday82 #ww2 #ww2history

Dear god, we're back to low-IQ, WW I-style war propaganda. Whoever falls for this manure deserves a one-way ticket to the Eastern Front.
Europe cannot live forever under the threat from the east. Russia will not change, it will not respect borders, and it will not stop. The answer is permanence: a fortified line from the Baltic to Greece. Not a wall of stone, but a modern shield. Reinforced barriers, mines, drones, air defenses, missile systems, surveillance, and nuclear deterrence. A defense no army can cross, no aircraft can bypass, no saboteur can penetrate. This is how Europe secures its future.
