Here's why I think it should be JJ McCarthy going forward...same floor, higher ceiling...JJ provides wider access to the playbook as it was originally intended with Dart. his higher mobility should help the run game and the O Line, and his stronger arm can threaten all parts of the field. Lastly, competent play from him has the potential to create higher asset value. On the flip side, I can't stomach the volatility of Winston's play and his limitations. It's an easy choice IMHO.

On Giant Spaces discussing fixes for this team...Quentin Nelson is a Free Agent at the end of this year, the Colts have just fired their GM...they are 2-4, with the Vikings and Jags next to play before the trade deadline. They are looking at 2-6. Giants need to trade for Nelson at the deadline and sign him to an extension. OL: AT, Nelson, Hudson, Francis, JE. It changes EVERYTHING in the run game. Probably won't happen, but it should.

Not excited here by the effort of an elite player (Leonard Moore #15). #compete.

The one guy that I think would be prefect for our offense and that I would trade a player or a pick for is Kenneth Gainwell. Why? Because his skill set is exactly what this offense needs. Tough SOB, who pass blocks, catches passes and most importantly can press the edge on run plays. He can also take it to the house.

When the Commanders fire Quinn, they better think twice about letting Daronte Jones leave the building with him. That guy is going to be an elite DC.

I've listened to the post game press conferences from the Commanders. Quinn took accountability as he should have, but Jayden Daniels...he basically threw his coach under the bus. If he gave a lick about Dan Quinn he should have come out there and said: "this is on me, no one needs to tell me to throw that away, I made a mistake, it's on me." That "leader" sat there and just said "we all have to be better". smh 11:17 PM

A few things have become very clear at this point of the season. 1. We are not yet built to be a successful running team. We don't have the personnel. 2. We are a effective passing team with smart receivers and a pass blocking O line. 3. Jameis operates better in a wide open offense. He is not at his best in the play action. 4. On the defensive side of the ball, we are much less effective in our base defense against both the run and pass. 5. we are built to be a pressure, blitzing defense with our athletes flying around and our corners in press. Welcome to the 2026 Giants.

So, a few things. This game against the Commanders will be a challenging one. Here's a shocker, the team that runs the ball better in this weather likely wins. An effective power running game can control the game. Executing a quick and efficient short passing game in the wind and rain is also key. Since, rushing the passer is difficult in these conditions, even so, because of high winds, defensive secondaries will squat on more routes. By and large, TEs and RBs become higher targets. Screens also play a larger role. Having a QB who can run effectively also provides an advantage. And of course, ball security. With all that said, I think the Giants are better equipped to win this game, but it will be a challenge.

So here's my frustration on the JJ McCarthy situation…the Vikings decided to move on from JJ because they didn’t think he warranted building a franchise around him. That’s fine. The Giants don’t need him to be a franchise QB, we have one already, and there are many levels of play between “franchise QB” and the level where Jameis is currently playing at. Let JJ fall somewhere in between and I’ll be fine.
