Down 5 SOL with a relief bounce sitting on my screen. Told myself I'd close it in the morning.
Woke up to -12.89.
First real loss of this
@MeteoraAG series.
-65% Bid-Ask range on
$BOP, 20 SOL in, on paper the same trade I've run all month. I opened it and went out for 3 hours without looking at my phone. That's how it got to -5 in the first place.
And the honest part: a wider range would NOT have saved this. BOP went ~4M to sub-500k in one move with no bounce to sell into. -70%, -80%, same outcome. Out of range, same damage.
So it wasn't the range and it wasn't sizing. It was complacency, we'd had a week of animal coins running clean (Ansem, JIMOTHY) and a one-candle rug just didn't feel likely. It cost me twice: once when I walked out, and again when I went to bed on a position I could still have closed.
Three potential solutions to situations like this:
1.
@DLMMAlert,
@MichaelZogot's tool. Pushes straight to Telegram or even your watch when your position gets near the bottom of its range. That is exactly the failure I just had.
2. An agent that watches the chart and decides whether a position is worth closing. Something I'm seriously looking at now. or one of the tools which already exists such as
@HawkFi_ which I mainly use right now HFL right now.
3. The boring one, and the only one I can do today: if I can't watch it, I don't open it.
Month is still green. Meteora gains are wiped, but I'm around +10 SOL across HawkFi and the other wallets.

Fitting LPing around a normal day for me: 3 wide -75%
@MeteoraAG DLMM ranges set before bed.
This is a big thing with LPing: you need to fit it around your time schedule, how often you can check, and from this decide what kind of ranges you are comfortable using.
A 35% dip came overnight, wide meant they never left range. +0.84 SOL in fees by morning, fully passive.
Not huge. Hands-off though.
