Elliot:
"Oh, heya!
I'm just resting for a moment, need to keep that pep in my step, after all!
Hope you've been doing alright with this new place..
The ride here might've been bumpy, but at least we seem to be someplace safe.."
Question 1: "What do you do around this place?"
"Me? Oh, you know... just doing my best to lift people's spirits around here.
Things can be tough for people here, you know..?
Some people have families to get back to, friends, anyone they cared about..
If you've got someone to look forward to back home, you'd probably understand the feeling...
My family, especially...
I had a dad and a little sister back home...
I keep wondering if they're ever safe out there...
Being able to help others though makes me feel glad at least, it reminds me of my work back home..
All those rush hours really gave me a pep in my step, you know? Haha!
Ha..
..."
Elliot looks down, seemingly nervous.
"When I'm not in the safe zone, it can get pretty scary..
Not knowing who.. Or what could be lurking behind the corner..."
Elliot looks back up.
"But whenever someone needs help, I can run over and lend them a helping hand, as fast as I possibly can to reach for them.
Simply put, I just want to help everyone.
It's what my family would've wanted me to do...
Mm.. but other than that, I like to take walks around the safe space.
Keeps the mind occupied, and I sometimes talk to others here, asking about their experiences...
Especially the beach. It's a nice spot for me.
The waves really remind me of back home... even if I'm a little scared of getting in the water.."
"Hey there, buddy! What's up?"
Question 2: "What was your family like?"
"Oh, I'm so happy you asked!
My dad was a real good worker, building up the foundation of our family's pizza place: Builder Brother's Pizza!
There's a good chance you've seen our family's advertising at some point or another, even if you haven't visited the place personally.
Business just kind of grew, and my dad would eventually branch out to different places!
With the original being on the island it first started on.
People would travel from everywhere just to see us & our establishment, and I couldn't be happier to greet them!
Now, when I first started working there, I was pretty young..
But the pizza-making process really interested me, ever since I was a kid.
I learnt to juggle through orders really quickly, and I've gotten quicker on my feet with how often rush hours would keep adding orders for us to handle!
Gosh.. it feels like just yesterday I was still helping co-workers with ovens and delivering pizza to hungry customers...
Even the strange ones who only order a soda, hehe..
Also, my sister may look sometimes, but she was really sweet once you got to know her!
She likes pandas and dressing me up with whatever she had planned that day, even if it meant I'd be late for work, hehe...
But she has trouble with crowds, which was something I was working on helping her with before... you know..
I'd often set her off too.. she can be very vocal about things that annoy her..
But I didn't mind, I thought it was all just part of being an older brother, you know?
Siblings squabble... but she still cared for each other in our own ways.
I think about how she's doing now..
And how my dad's been operating the business...
Overall, I would say that my family's a good bunch!
Had we met before this, we could've been co-workers, and maybe I could've introduced you to them...
Oh well...
I just hope things haven't gone downhill back home..."
Question 3: "Ever had any customer or staff that become memorable to you?"
"Oh, yeah! Of course I have!
When you've worked at your family's establishment for a long time, you're bound to remember at least a few faces!
Let's see, um...
There was this one regular back then with pink hair..
Ordered a pizza once every week before applying for the delivery job..
She was very sweet!
Oh, and there was this chef we had back in the day..
Helped us with a limited-time pizza we were promoting, haha!
Then there was... Shedletsky!
That guy would order lots of pizza whenever he came in.
And, being an admin, customers would recognize him quick!
So that was fun to see, haha!
Hmm, what else...
Oh, I think there was someone with a Guest friend.. A noob!
I think it was during the pizza place's early years?
They seemed athletic, and they were cheery and positive, too.
It was always a pleasure seeing them come in every so often to order a different pizza for themselves, or a friend!
Speaking of their friend, that guest clinging onto them was awfully shy..
Kept close behind them whenever they ordered...
But I found out their favorite topping were meat-related!
So I tended to offer a free meat pizza for the two whenever I could, haha!
Good times..."
You try to ask him about Noob.
"..Hm? What's that?
You think that noob could be the same one we have right now? In here?
Well... I could see some resemblance, I guess..
But isn't it bad to assume?
It might come off as awkward, you know.."
Question 4: "Is there anything you can say about your job?"
"Sure! The pizza place was really fun to be around, I'd be happy to tell you about it!
Which job would you like to know about?
I assume delivery because of my work uniform, but I also worked at the cash registers, the ovens, and packaging!
Manning the till involved greeting greeting customers and taking their order, and keeping track of cash.
Cooking involved prepping the pizza and cooking it, then sending it on the conveyor for packaging!
Then, once the pizzas were cut, they'd be packed up and prepared for delivery.
Ah, good times..
Ever since I started working these when I was able to, I loved serving customers as best as I could.
And that bundled into me being a part of every station in the pizza-making process!
It's where I learned how to be quick on my feet, and to keep better track of things!
I also helped out new hires too! Taught them a lot about the basics and the kind of job they'd be doing.
Oh, you know a little bit about maintenance as well!
Mostly because of stuff getting stuck in the conveyor belts and ovens exploding, heh..
I don't know everything about machinery necessarily, but I know how to patch up stuff.
It's not all that bad! Really!
Rush hours are really the only thing you have to worry about, what with the flock of customers that come on in.
But other than that, everyone from staff to customers were really nice! Most of the time!
Though I did understand that it may not be for those who get overwhelmed easily...
I know about some workers who quit mid-shift due to how demanding it had gotten...
It made me sad, especially when I had to pick up their work due to to the demand..
But still, I wouldn't trade it for anything else.
I loved my job!
Maybe you would've come to like it, too! Had we not met in such... drastic circumstances, haha...
...Well, I still do miss being able to serve people..
Sometimes, when I'm not too busy, I head over to the Iron Cafe to act as a sort of waiter!
The music is nice, and the bartender's happy to have some help!
Maybe you'd like to come join me there someday?
Just a suggestion! You don't have to if you don't want to.
I just like being able to work, you know?
It keeps me going!"
Question 5: "How did you get here?"
"I-..
Umm-..
I guess I could tell you about it..
I uh.. almost drowned before arriving here..
No, I think I did drown... Maybe..?
It's a bit foggy in my head, but I was driving my scooter fast away from the disaster..
Fires and debris in all sorts of places...
Said disaster being from that kid bursting in and causing havoc everywhere all of a sudden...
I was busy cleaning up the place and preparing to drive home beforehand, the last customer having left already..
I was completely alone by then, preparing for my sister's birthday...
After seeing the place burning down, I drove as fast as I could.
Tried calling my dad too, to tell him about what was going on, but then I saw a truck headed my way, so...
I swerved hard and began losing control, driving in-between lots of homes and streets..
Eventually crash-landing into the ocean.
The cold really shocked me..
My scooter fell in too, dragged under the waves...
Panicking made me frantic, and I began to try and surface for air, but it felt like something was dragging me underwater..
I gave it my all to swim faster and faster, but my energy was draining by the second..
I still remember how terrified I felt looking up at the light above the waves getting further and further away...
My chest aching from the water seeping into my lungs...
..It was awful... I wouldn't wish that experience upon anyone...
Don't know how long it must've been, but I lost consciousness for a while.
I coughed up some water alone, lying on a shore.
At first I thought I'd gotten into a different island, but..
The whole place was completely foreign to me.
I got up and brushed sand off my wet clothing, looking around for anyone..
Eventually spotting someone exiting a cabin.
Imagine my shock when it was none other than Mr. Bulderman himself!
The shock at seeing him, of all people, in such a place like that..
He gave me a towel and brought me inside, where he did his best to explain what had happened.
Shedletsky and Dusekkar were there, too..
Now knowing what this whole place was, it really frightened me, at first..
I was so scared..
But I've come to realize that others might be even more scared than I was...
So I try my best to lend a hand, whenever I could.
Some of the others help me with courage, too.. Like Guest!
There's a sense of community and teamwork here, and I wouldn't want anything bad to happen to it...
Even if the situation we're in seems bleak...
It's just important to keep going, even for just one more day."
Question 6: "What do you think of 007n7?"
"..Ah.
To be honest, I ummm... don't feel too comfortable around him...
It's just-.. I-.. I know him through what his kid has done.. and the kind of people that's kid been with...
I have spent a lot of time cleaning up after their shenanigans, after all..
Whenever the kid, his friends, or both appear near the place, I tend to get uneasy, unsure of what to expect next..
I'd usually have to clean up a lot of the messes that were left behind..
And whenever I did see the guy, he was just.. There, on the sidelines..
I've talked to him before, when we were both still on the island.
Brought his kid home one time after he & his friends blew up one of our delivery cars..
It was the first time I spoke with him, and he offered up to pay for the damages.
My advice was simple, to just keep an eye on the little guy...
He agreed, but it felt as though he barely had a grip on him..
It just-.. it just makes me feel reluctant to trust him with some of the stuff around here..
I only found out he was one of the members of the original group some time after I arrived here..
Team C00lkidd..
Builderman told me about it..
It was scary, thinking that he helped to cause such a thing to our family's establishment..
And that his kid had taken after him..
...Even still, he seems kind of.. remorseful in his actions, I think..?
And I can't help but feel sad when he's left out whenever we gather together to discuss...
He makes me comfortable, but... I don't hate him.
I'd rather just keep my distance...
Maybe he's not all bad, but..
I can't forgive him that fast.
It sounds mean, but it's just what it is, for me..
..Gosh, I don't mean to sound stuck-up..
Sorry.."
