I did say we'd be releasing our models periodically...introducing Gemini 4 Carbon, our next frontier model. Following Argon's release just two weeks ago, Carbon shows the pace at which we’re pushing the frontier, it ranks #1 on the recently updated v5.0 of @ArtificialAnlys Intelligence Index at 59. It also leads across key cybersecurity evaluations scoring 88.2% on SEC-bench Pro for finding vulnerabilities, 54.8% on ExploitGym for exploitation, and 71.0% on CWE-bench for patching. We’re seeing significant improvements in long-horizon tasks even compared to Argon, and we’ve strengthened frontier safeguards. As we did with Argon, we’re going to roll it out gradually + responsibly. Some trusted cyber defenders will get access starting this week. We'll be expanding it to more partners through our Fairwind Program, ahead of wider availability soon, so hang tight!

Some of you lack accountability so bad that you genuinely don't see anything wrong with yourselves. And the people around you are just as delusional for enabling it.

The truth is, your life will always reflect the level of standards you set. Keep tolerating weak effort, toxic people, sloppy habits, and that's exactly what you'll keep living in.

These ladies invited me to dinner at an expensive restaurant last night. When it was time to pay, I asked the waiter to split the bill and one suddenly remembered she’d “forgotten” her card. I paid my share and left. These daughters of Abraham love a luxury menu until it’s time to fund the appetite.

Through group discussions, participants explored the basics of good storytelling and how to create content that informs the public, raises important concerns, shapes policy debates and holds leaders accountable. The discussions also looked at the importance of ethics and independence in media and content creation. Sharing information comes with responsibility, and it is important to be truthful, fair and careful about the information shared with the public. The session was a reminder that storytelling is more than just sharing information. It is about helping people understand issues, bringing attention to community concerns and contributing to conversations that can lead to change. #RisingWithIGAD #OneRegionOneFuture

HAPPENING NOW | DAY 2 OF #GirlsAgenda2026 Today’s discussions are exploring how communities can become drivers of lasting change by investing in girls’ education, leadership and future opportunities. From creating safe spaces where girls can speak up and challenging harmful social norms, to community-driven scholarship initiatives that have supported 26 girls to graduate from university, the conversations are showcasing the impact of local ownership and collective action in transforming girls’ lives. Participants are also examining how development partners and funders can build sustainable models that go beyond short-term projects. Community philanthropy, local resource mobilisation, matching funds and strategic partnerships are emerging as important approaches to sustaining progress and ensuring resources reach the girls and communities that need them most. The conversations reaffirm that empowering girls requires more than commitments. It calls for sustained investment, strong community partnerships and meaningful participation of girls in the decisions that affect their lives. When communities lead and girls are given the support and opportunities they deserve, the impact can extend far beyond individual projects. #GirlsAgenda2026 #MenstrualJusticeForAll

At #GirlsAgenda2026, discussions on “Girls as Leaders, Not Just Beneficiaries” focused on the need to give girls more opportunities to lead and take part in decisions that affect them. Girls need to be involved from the start when organisations plan projects, set priorities and decide where resources should go. Their ideas and experiences can help create solutions that respond to the real challenges they face in their communities. As @GeorginaAsizu from @IriseEastAfrica stressed, listening to girls should lead to action. Organisations must go beyond giving girls a platform to speak and make sure their views are considered and acted upon. The message was clear: girls should not just be part of the conversation. They should also help make decisions, lead initiatives and shape programmes that affect their future. #MenstrualJusticeForAll #GirlsAgenda2026

Last week in Cologne I showed how you can use the GitHub Copilot App and Foundry to build an agent you can deploy across Teams, Outlook or an app of your choice. I also showed how you can integrate our new Decision 1 model for intent classification. I'm interested in agents that can recognise intent and then take action independetly if they decide they can be helpful, so this was fun to show!
