Perhaps this is because AI heavily weights things like test scores and competition wins that make the news

Extremely disappointing: Fable won't just refuse to assist with AI research, it will silently give worse responses. Our tools are being designed to work against us.
mythos will be bad ON PURPOSE on ai "frontier llm research" tasks, this is very very sad for the research community
