Artillery Centre Hyderabad commemorates 200 years of glorious Gunner legacy, forged in courage, camaraderie and sacrifice. The occasion honours our fallen heroes and veterans, inspires the youth, and salutes every Gunner who continues to serve the Nation with pride, honour and devotion.
The celebrations were marked by a solemn Wreath Laying Ceremony, paying homage to the brave Gunners who made the supreme sacrifice in the service of the Nation.

Under the #SwachhataHiSeva Campaign 2026, Units and Formations of Secunderabad Military Station embarked on the ongoing Cleanliness Drive from their War Memorials on 27 Sep 2026.
Drawing inspiration from these already immaculately maintained memorials, the drive extended outward to the surrounding areas. A tribute to the selfless bravehearts of the Indian Army.

HONOURING THE VETERAN. STRENGTHENING THE BOND
As part of the 200th Gunners Day celebrations, Artillery Centre Hyderabad hosted a Barakhana on 27 Sep 26, bringing together approximately 200 veterans and serving personnel in an atmosphere of camaraderie and esprit de corps.
The gathering was a befitting tribute to the Gunners who have served with distinction, recognising their invaluable contribution to the Nation and the proud legacy of the Regiment of Artillery.
The interaction provided an opportunity for serving personnel to connect with veterans, exchange experiences and reaffirm the enduring bond that transcends generations and years of service.
The warmth and bonhomie of the gathering reflected the timeless military ethos of ‘Once a Soldier, Always a Soldier’, reaffirming that the Gunner fraternity remains one family, bound by shared service, sacrifice and traditions.

SOLDIERATHON – A CELEBRATION OF FITNESS & CAMARADERIE
On 27 Sep 2026, approximately 7,000 participants comprising serving personnel, families and enthusiasts participated in the Gunners Soldierathon at Artillery Centre Hyderabad, conducted under the Fit India Movement as part of the 200th Gunners Day celebrations.
The event promoted fitness, endurance and camaraderie, while reinforcing the enduring spirit of the Gunner fraternity and inspiring a healthier, stronger and more resilient nation.
The residents of Matru Chaya - an Indian Army initiative also participated in the Gunners Day Celebration walk.

MoD signs Rs 811 crore contract with BDL for 160 Satellite Smart Anti-Airfield Weapons for IAF
Ministry of Defence has inked a contract with @bharat_dynamics for the procurement of 160 Satellite Smart Anti Airfield Weapons (SAT-SAAW) along with associated equipment for Indian Air Force (IAF) with a total cost of Rs 810.79 crore under Buy (Indian - Indigenously Designed, Developed and Manufactured) category. The contract was signed in the presence of Defence Secretary Shri Rajesh Kumar Singh in New Delhi on September 23, 2026.

Housed in a historic 1870 heritage building, the URC has undergone a comprehensive transformation. The modernisation was undertaken while preserving the architectural character of the nearly 150-year-old building and creating a contemporary, efficient welfare facility for Veterans & Serving Personnel alike.

They saw how the organisation provides free, nutritious meals to over 30,000 children daily through meticulous planning, hygiene and safety protocols.

🌿 Swachhata Hi Seva 2026 | Cleanliness Drives at MIDHANI
As part of the Swachhata Hi Seva 2026 Campaign, MIDHANI conducted cleanliness drives on September 22, 2026, at two locations:
🔹 Dhatu Nagar: A cleanliness drive was conducted along the public road from Government Primary School, Dhatu Nagar, to MIDHANI Township Bus Station, with 60 participants. A total of 4 tonnes of mixed waste was collected.
🔹 BPDAV School: A cleanliness drive was organised around BPDAV School, involving the cutting of wild bushes and cleaning of the surrounding area. A total of 70 participants took part, and 2 tonnes of organic waste were collected.
These initiatives reaffirm MIDHANI’s commitment to promoting cleanliness, environmental responsibility and community participation.

Spectacular performance at the Inter Services Athletics Championship 2026!
The Indian Army delivered an outstanding performance, securing 42 medals in total, 22 of which were won by elite athletes from the Athletics Node, Artillery Centre, Hyderabad.
Adding to this achievement, 13 athletes from the Athletics Node have been selected to represent the Services team at the National Senior Open Championship, bringing further distinction to the Indian Army and the Athletics Node, Artillery Centre, Hyderabad.
