It’s been a crazy week, but what a beautiful way to come into Corpus Christi with a picture of our little one and to be able to hear their heartbeat. Jesus has given us everything, and as the author of life, he gives us the greatest gifts ❤️

This book should be required reading for every medical professional, particularly those who work within the realm of women’s and children’s health
Delighted to hear from a prof teaching medical ethics that they assigned The Dignity of Dependence, and a student emailed after class: "I was blown away to think that being a burden does not necessarily mean something has gone wrong in a relationship." link.amazon/B05tpW3UD

If my husband said this about me (he wouldn’t) I would die (after I bought a wood chipper and my husband mysteriously disappeared)
Mark Zuckerberg speaks on wife Priscilla Chan: “Can’t Always Wife The Baddest Chick, Gotta Wife The Realest One”
Community note
Mark Zuckerberg did not say this. The phrasing matches 2015 internet slang and his verified comments about his wife reference anniversary traditions and statues. x.com/skiieezy/statu… bbc.co.uk/news/articles/… people.com/mark-zuckerber…

Women’s health is an INCREDIBLE portal into all health conditions and how complex health is. That’s why I love @femalelongevity - her transparency and dedication to ACCURATE female centric awareness, education and collaboration with a team of scientists is unmatched while being mindful of how this impacts every one of us.
The future of women’s health innovation must include studying the estrobolome.

I fundamentally reject the notion that we as a medical profession and as women should promote such violence against a member of the human family for financial reasons. But this logic euthanasia of sick children should be permitted.
The decision to carry and raise a child can shape every part of a person’s financial life. @JessicaValenti joins Vox’s @AsteadWH to explain why abortion belongs in Democrats’ affordability message and what the party misses when it treats reproductive rights as a social issue.

interesting piece but just a reminder that there are many humans with varying levels of consciousness—which shouldn’t make us less inclusive of them in our moral sphere of concern but should increase our concern for them due to their vulnerable status nytimes.com/2026/10/05/scien…

Canada approved a woman for MAID after she lost the ability to cook. Fortunately, she didn’t go through with it after realizing that “her family valued who she was, not what she did for them.” People like this woman need help and love, not death.

Killing patients is not medicine, and never will be.

Interesting that this is written by an exuberant proponent for MAiD, the opposite of healthcare, and he is now showing his bigotry by demanding Catholic institutions lose their religious freedom to provide real medicine to patients
Opinion: It’s well past time for Catholic hospitals to be secularized theglobeandmail.com/opinion/…

As an OB-GYN, I want people to understand what we lose when a labor & delivery unit closes. It’s more than a place to give birth. I spoke with CBS 21 about what’s at stake for Pennsylvania families—and why we need a coordinated response. Read below. 👇
PA has lost 38 labor & delivery units since 2005. Our president, Dr. Naomi Whittaker, explains what’s at stake—and why Pennsylvania needs a coordinated maternal-care plan. local21news.com/news/local/w…

The key distinction here, and in anything within medical ethics, is intent, which we don't necessarily learn within medical ethics training. Miscarriage care, even if you undergo a D&C, is in itself different than a procedure w/ intent to cause the death of an embryo/fetus
Miscarriage and abortion both involve the death of an embryo or fetus, but they are not the same thing.

Guys I'm sureeeee this won't have any issues. None at all.
UTAH BECOMES FIRST STATE TO LET AI ISSUE PRESCRIPTIONS Nolla Health is launching a Utah pilot where its AI can assess acne, review a patient’s medical history and send prescriptions directly to pharmacies without a doctor approving every prescription. The program is limited to eight approved topical acne treatments, with no pills or hormone therapies. Doctor oversight will be phased: › First 100 patients: doctor approval before prescriptions are sent › Next 400: AI sends prescriptions directly, with doctors reviewing them afterward each week › After that: doctors review at least 10% of prescriptions each month Utah granted Nolla a narrow exemption from the usual requirement that a licensed human prescriber write the prescription. Nolla costs about $5/month, with compounded medications around $50/month, versus roughly $150-$300 for a typical dermatology visit.
