So many playing down Naomi Longs tweet. The important part is the comparison between OO & residents i.e 'I hold more hope...'due to Christian ethos of OO. Plenty have appealed to the ethos over the last few days without reaction. The comparisons is what is shocking.

Implying they wld understand why unionists wld use force to deny democratic vote for a New Ireland all because residents are stopping a sectarian parade being forced down their street. Important to remember the residents have stood peacefully. The implication of force is a lie.

Charging nationalists with not “having a commitment to the rule of law” is propaganda. No one accepts an authority without good reason. Insincere, moralising dog whistle to disguise annoyance that they are not submitting to the bullying source of this crisis like the PC did.

The OO attempted to parade once again but have been stopped by police. The PSNI were asked if the dermination is 'still live". They replied 'yes it is' but they cannot facilitate the parade. Protesters are still gathering along the Garvaghy road. The road is not blocked. # UTV

I’ve never known so many to be invested in law & order, who stay silent around theft &destruction of public property, who didn’t demand resignations when families were being burnt out of their homes, mosques on bonfires & more Self righteousness rings slightly hollow today.

UPDATE. A small group of Orangeman made a 4th attempt to march in the past hour. (They were blocked). Some Garvaghy residents have made a request for people to come and stand with them later this afternoon & this evening as they believe that the Orange Order will try again. More updates later...
