We shot the aftermath first. Then redressed everything to shoot the 'before times' after. The ace steadicam operator was Paul Edwards. It was the first day of the shoot on the film too!
SHAUN OF THE DEAD (2004) uses the exact same walk before and after the zombie outbreak, turning an ordinary morning routine into a brilliant visual joke. The attention to detail is unreal.

In bed with my wife laughing at the concept that internet friendships are not real (four years ago we became friends on the critically acclaimed MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV with an expanded free trial up to level 80 that includes the fan favorite Shadowbringers expansion)
"internet friendships are not real" retweet if this is a lie and you have made AMAZING best friends online and also have met the worst people too.

This tweet is 100% true but it's worth noting that everything wrong with Bleach starts in the Soul Society arc
Congratulations Soul Society arc, you remain with your crown as none will ever dethrone you.

I dislike when coworkers use lunch as an opportunity to discuss work. I am not eating this meal for nourishment alone. I am eating it to remember who I was before I opened my laptop this morning. Please let me have this.

You can't commodify every single aspect of living and then not understand looting as a legitimate form of protest. Looting is the ultimate strike against a system that deems mass-produced objects to be far more precious than life itself. It is humanity demanding to be recognized.

This may sound harsh, but I feel like this push that working in office is better than WFH is done entirely by people who have no lives or social circles outside their jobs.
The fact that so many people prefer WFH, prioritizing instant gratification at the cost of better long term outcomes, is in fact evidence that most adults are children.

How does this dude always have the worst takes? Remote work is paramount for accessibility, esp in this age of “covid is here to stay”. Disabled people exist & we deserve to have access to safer income. Everyone does! If I couldn’t work from home, it would be hard to work at all
My strongest “vibes not evidence” belief is that remote work is a cancer that’s making (most) people miserable even though it seems better in the short term.

It is simultaneously true that the 2026 mid-terms likely represent one of our last chances to peacefully maintain rule of law and democracy in America and that Trump, given the previous coup attempt he incited, is likely to try and prevent a peaceful and democratic outcome.
When any of us said "Trump is ending democracy, he's going to steal the midterms", Dems mostly replied with "that's why we need to win the midterms". Which kind of explains the current predicament.

Kizaru having to kill Vegapunk is such beautiful writing on so many levels, but I also love that, because Egghead is surrounded by a forcefield that only Kizaru can get through (because it's was developed based on his powers), Kizaru is literally the only one for the job.
I think saying that Borsalino murdered his best friend for the government really doesn't illustrate the severity of the facts he raised a child with that guy bro

I think the pretty simple and succinct explanation for why Oda seems to have extremely pro queer political messaging while also drawing offensive portrayals is: Oda thinks queer people are weird, but he thinks being weird is good “Freak” is an almost righteous category to him

Wow, for the first time ever, I get to say: this blew up.
The question of how the Okama are portrayed always misses one fundamental aspect of Kamabakka Kingdom: Iva has the Hormone Fruit. We've seen Iva change people's appearance freely. There's something very intentional in Oda making sure you understand their appearance is a choice.
