Every day innocent Nigerians leave their homes not knowing whether a simple encounter with the police could turn into harassment, extortion, unlawful detention, or even death.
Since when did owning an iPhone become a crime? Since when did having dreadlocks, tattoos, or driving a nice car become enough reason to be treated like a criminal?
We deserve a country where young people can walk freely without fear, where justice is not determined by who has money and where every Nigerian is treated with dignity.
We are not asking for special treatment. We are demanding our fundamental human rights.
