Osaka-based DubGuy (@dubguyjp) returns to TREKKIE TRAX with his new “Cave Diving EP,” out now. Inspired by the sensation of descending deeper into a cave, the EP explores DubGuy’s distinctive approach to Electro, UK Garage, and Breakbeat through shifting rhythms, immersive low-end, and constantly evolving textures. The title track “Cave Diving” moves through unexpected rhythmic turns like navigating unseen forks underground, while “Hydraulic” sinks deeper with its heavy, gliding bass. The EP also features two remixes of “Cave Diving”: a weighty reinterpretation from Bristol-based producer and No More Mailouts founder Sir Hiss (@SirHissBristol), and a characteristically dynamic take from Kyoto-based NC4K founder and Rinse FM resident Stones Taro (@stonestarojp).
