Pretty simple. For the last 2 years when we needed to lose, Jordi and the Try Hards set a tone of relentless effort despite talent. Now he's handed talent and the effort is shit.
Time for Jordi to show if he's cut out to be a winning coach and not just developmental.
There’s context to each of the Nets’ five losses this year and I’d only call the Cleveland & Boston game representative efforts but I’m a little surprised at how seemingly surprised the fanbase is at the youngest team in the league, a team widely expected to miss the play-in tournament, starting the season winless against the slate they’ve played so far.

I don't need to read the rules or any articles to know that nothing would ever benefit the Nets.
Under the new lottery system, the hypothetical scenario regarding repeat lottery winners detailed here would result in virtually no benefit for the Nets. Their odds of getting next year’s #1 pick would increase by at most 0.2 percentage points.

Even Sean Marks truthers recognize this is his last chance. And an 0-4 start, largely driven by deficiencies he did not address in the off-season, are a harsh reality for his performance. I will still give him this season but that's it for my support.

• $61.6M of room under the second apron (most in the NBA)
• the youngest roster in the league

Boy that's a rough loss for Brooklyn. So many chances to put Boston away in overtime. One bad decision after another by Mikel Brown, but hard to blame a rookie guard in his third game and not the third-year head coach Jordi Fernández for better preparing his team for a moment like that. Keeping Brown in the game for a defense-only possession says it all to me about how ill-prepared Fernandez was. And the Nets remain winless.

Based on all the comments here it seems fans forgot he had a back injury in college that caused him to miss 12 games. They are being cautious and ramping him up slowly.
Jordi Fernandez said Mikel Brown Jr. won't be off his minutes restriction anytime soon:
"We have a plan from our medical and performance [team]... At some point, he'll be able to play more minutes, he'll be able to play back-to-backs, but it's not right now or anytime soon.”

This season is the litmus test. Game 1 isn't enough but it's a rough start.
I still want to believe the Nets didn’t waste 5 1st round picks, but as of now outside of a Egor Demin jump shot the entire group has shown absolutely nothing.
I just don’t understand how you can find a way to go 0/5 in an NBA draft. That’s really hard to do.
