Final Chapter - Sarkodie congratulates Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale calls Sarkodie Obidibama: After Stonebwoy was adjudged the artist of the year in 2015, Sarkodie took to twitter and congratulated him. A fair play card to a fellow colleague and competitor in the category which was promised.
Fans were visibly not happy of Sarkodie's fair play as they felt it was an injustice done by the scheme to spite Sarkodie for boycotting the awards, and teaming up with the enemy to compete the biggest entertainment event in Ghana.
This marked the first strand of Sarkodie's gradual disinterest in attending Ghana Music Awards and Sarkodie fans abstaining from any form of voting for their artistes at the GMAs.
After Shatta Beach, Shatta Wale expressed gratitude towards Sarkodie for coming to support him for the maiden Shatta Beach concert.

Chapter 3 - Sarkodie boycotts the VGMA awards & Stonebwoy is crowned AOTY: As clear indication of his displeasure towards the organisers, the favourite to win AOTY 2015, boycotts the scheme and joins his outcast friend, Shatta Wale, to perform on the very same night the VGMAs were being held.
Jupitar who had been denied a lifetime chance to win an award with his biggest hit song 'Enemies' ft. Sarkodie, also joined the two artistes. This obviously gave a leeway for the anointed Stonebwoy to win any possible award there was.
He indeed won all Reggae/Dancehall categories including the ultimate the AOTY. The award was later contested by Edem in a 2024 post that he was robbed. Edem had won 3 awards (Best Video, Afropop Song & Album of the Year) on the night.
