I agree with your framing. Every rupee of shareholder money should serve a stated purpose. A jewellery company buying into steel manufacturing with no disclosed logic is something I would question too.
Shanti Gold is a B2B gold jewellery company. Why has it invested ₹8.83 crore in Ratnaveer Precision Engineering, a steel products company?
There may be a financial reason: management could see an opportunity to earn a return on surplus cash. But the exchange filing describes the purchase only as “investment activity.” It does not explain why Ratnaveer was chosen or how this investment fits Shanti Gold’s business.
₹8.83 crore alone is not a reason to judge the company harshly. Still, capital allocation matters. Shareholders deserve to know whether this is a one-off decision or the start of investing company funds in unrelated listed businesses.
My question for management is simple: Why is this the best use of shareholders’ money?

At the 2007 @NobelPrize ceremony @algore predicted an ice-free Arctic by 2014. Sea ice extent has increased 27% since then.

From my own garden I've watched seasons shift: later frosts, erratic rain, soil warming earlier each spring. Whatever the debate over old baselines, the real-world changes are already measurable. Sparse 1850s station coverage doesn't erase that.
With all the hype regarding the climate grifting that exceeding 1.5C will turn the planet into a ball of fire.
Here is a demonstration that the scarcity of weather stations caused some very big assumptions, in that what there was to measure, prior to the 1930’s was virtually nonexistent.
