Mark’s carrier account required an in-person visit with ID and passport for changes. He was SIM-swapped anyway! On UP NEXT CRYPTO with Danny Ravaz (@upnextboys), Mark shares what the carrier told him: an employee SIM-swapped three customers on their last day, including Mark. #SIMSwap #Podcast #Interview #Efani

🚨 You can use AI to find photos of yourself you didn't know were online. A SIM swapper can run the same search on you. Your face leads to your name, employer and city, and from there to your phone number and carrier. Bookmark this, then run the audit on yourself first 👇🏼

Step: 5 -Clear what Google still shows A site can remove your photo while Google keeps showing the old result. Use "Results about you" to request removal of results that expose your contact details, and Google's Refresh Outdated Content tool for pages that have already changed. A Google removal doesn't delete the page. Do the site takedown first.

Step: 6 - Lock down the number it all points to Deleting photos shortens the trail... Your 'number' is still what the attacker wants. - Take your mobile number off public profiles and bios - Set a carrier account PIN and turn on port-out protection - Move email, banking and exchanges from SMS codes to an authenticator app or hardware key - Stop posting holdings, wallet screenshots and trade wins Then call your carrier and ask what it takes to move your number to another provider. Whatever they ask you for is what a SIM swapper needs too! If the answer is a PIN plus details you've already made public, that's the gap @efani was built for. Any SIM or number change on an Efani line goes through 11 layers of verification, human review and a mandatory 14-day cooling-off period.

🚨 YOUR PHONE NUMBER COULD BE WORTH $2,000 TO A CORRUPT CARRIER INSIDER. A former AT&T employee was just sentenced to federal prison after using his employee access to SIM-swap customers for criminals. His cut? Typically $1,000–$2,000 per SIM swap. Here’s how the scheme worked: 👇🏼

This case exposes one of the biggest problems with treating “SIM swap protection” as a simple account feature. - Your phone may be secure. - Your SIM may be an eSIM. - Your password may be strong. But your phone number still depends on the carrier infrastructure and the people authorized to make changes inside it. A malicious insider with the right access can attack a completely different layer.

This is why protecting a high-value phone number requires more than putting another toggle in a carrier app. At @efani, SIM-change requests are blocked by default and sensitive account changes go through multiple verification layers, including human review. Because when your phone number can unlock email, banking, crypto and other critical accounts, changing who controls that number should never be treated like a routine support request.

One compromised phone number can put an entire organization at risk! Our General Manager, Mark Kreitzman, joined Team Cymru's (@teamcymru) Future of Threat Intelligence podcast to discuss how SIM swapping has evolved from individual crypto theft into a serious enterprise security threat. Mark shares his own experience of having his phone number hijacked for just 61 minutes, how AI and organized crime are scaling SIM swap attacks, and why protecting executives' mobile numbers is critical to corporate security. A compromised phone number can be the first step toward a much larger breach. @ElijahWoodward9 Watch the full conversation using the link below 👇🏼 #SIMSwap #Cybersecurity #MobileSecurity #Efani #Podcast

Mark was driving alone between Tucson and Phoenix when his phone account disappeared. He’d been SIM-swapped, despite extra restrictions on his carrier profile. In this clip from UP NEXT CRYPTO, Mark tells Danny (@upnextboys) what happened. It’s a reminder of why we take phone number security seriously at @efani. #SIMSwap
