After surviving a heart attack, Jim was brought back to life with a defibrillator. He decided he wanted to help put one in his local community too. Jim had been working hard to raise the money himself, but when we heard he was struggling to reach the amount needed, we got in touch with Wyre & Fylde Defibs to see if we could help. We donated £2,000 in Jim’s name, covering the cost of a brand new defibrillator and its ongoing maintenance. And a few local businesses stepped in to help too... Autobay are covering the ongoing electrical costs. TSW Electrical installed it completely free of charge. Wyre & Fylde Defibs supplied the defib and will look after its ongoing maintenance. After what happened to him, Jim just wanted to give something back to his community. Now there’s another defibrillator there if somebody ever needs it. Hopefully they never will.
