Forgotten Island possibly doing worse on opening weekend than Wonder Park, Smurfs 2025, and Sherlock Gnomes is a sign that Universal REALLY mishandled its release. Even if this does a 5x multiple like Elemental, it’s barely a $50M domestic total. Other countries need to carry.
"Forgotten Island" opening to $10-ish million this weekend is a disaster for DreamWorks/Universal and a tragedy for fans of original animation. It has a 95% RT score. They made a good film and audiences just refuse to pay to see it. It'll probably do well on Netflix, anyway

didn't prove itself to need to exist, couldn't exist as a block for CN as airing it so closely near adult swim is crazy, and even attempting to market preschool to chase the competition so late in the game was funny as hell to watch. tickle-u failed miserablely and this also did
Cartoonito, Cartoon Network’s second attempt at preschool branding, has silently and completely gone defunct in the United States. • Shows that were planned for the brand and block have been mostly cancelled due to the Warner Bros. Discovery merger • On-air screenbug disappeared on September 2, 2025 with ongoing shows absorbed into Cartoon Network's programming • Branding recently disappeared this month on the Cartoon Network app with the brand's shows being absorbed into the titular network’s programming once again

CN prioritizing the classic shows that actually give them views in an afternoon slot but as a sacrifice we potentially lose boomerang
Replying to @CNschedules
Classic Tom and Jerry and Looney Tunes also take up the 2pm hour on Saturdays, as well as 6am and 7am on Sundays. First time the classics have been a part of CN's regular lineup since 2017. It seems like they've lost most Scooby shows, just keeping Where Are You and What's New.

everyone still thinking KoG is about disney gotta read this thread:
Guys.... I think this show is a critique on capitalism and company towns as well as how the global south bears the brunt on not only production of merchandise but also environmental effects

they could've just shadowdropped whatever seasons this show had on paramount+ and that would be less of a middle finger to the entire crew that worked on this
‘Max & the Midknights’ Season 3 premieres October 9th at 12:38PM EST on TeenNick. The 10-episode season follows the show’s full series release in Australia this month.

Very likely that Boomerang could receive a massive schedule change with the removal of legacy WBA and Hanna Barbera shows on the 30th.
Replying to @CNschedules
If it's a loss of rights, what the fuck does that mean for Boomerang? That's like 70% of the lineup right there. The schedule is notoriously blank after the 29th currently.
