With the help of @GitHubCopilot, its Agent mode (with Claude Sonnet 4.5) and the GitHub and Svelte MCP servers, I just fixed 10 Superforms issues in a few hours of work, and when I say work, most if it was waiting for the changes to be completed, and clicking allow for terminal prompts. The convenience and speed of this was unparalleled to anything I've seen in my 25 years of professional programming: - It worked through very complicated Typescript typing problems due to third-party library updates, kept iterating until it finally was fixed. - It searched through the Zod 4 source code to figure out exactly how to override its JSON Schema generator for types not directly representable in the specification. - It added such a simple fix to a component to get compatibility between different Svelte versions, so simple I wouldn't think of it. - For each step it added detailed test files, covering so many more cases than I would think of (or even bother to write). I became more and more lazy/convenient when I realized how powerful it is, so in the end I just told it something like "Analyze issue 617 and come up with a fix". And almost always, it did. Changelog so you can see what it fixed: github.com/ciscoheat/sveltek… I can't believe I wrote/edited not more than 10% of the code in all those commits.

We are live at 1.1.0 🎉
Somehow according to NPM, Bits UI 1.0.0 has been published before, yet there is no record of it on the versions of its NPM page nor have I published it 🤦‍♂️

Superforms has gotten some flak lately since it can be a bit too much for simple forms. But remember that you can use it just on the server, and roll your own solution on the client, which is especially easy with Svelte 5. Check out how it's done: sveltelab.dev/rge07lq1b2ouw2…

Do you want to know why Trump won the election? Because the opposing side, to a larger degree than Trump, represents The Establishment. It's a broad term, though a simplified yet rather useful definition of The Establishment is "more of the same". And that is decidedly what the majority of the people have had enough of on this 5th of November. - We don't want more piles of plastic consumer goods to spend our wages on. - We don't want more stress and competition at work so we get sick when acquiring those wages. - We don't want any big industries that makes billions on people being sick or killed in conflicts around the world. - We don't want any more billionaires or homeless people. - We don't want and don't need any banks that creates debt slavery by lending insane amounts of money to people just to have a roof over their heads. - We don't need any more investment markets where people can be totally unproductive yet make millions, while people outside their offices work themselves to death or starve. - We don't need any more stupid advertising that only creates stupid materialistic consumers. - We don't need any more "social media", a phenomenon so superficial, addictive and damaging to the psyche that it could only be allowed to exist in a society like the one ours have turned into, in just a few decades. I know that the Trump administration won't tackle all of this, but that's not the point. When there are only two candidates to choose from, the choice is simply too limited, but when the tapestry of lies is lifted enough for people to see behind it, the vote will eventually fall on the one that to the least degree represents what this so-called civilization has turned into. The Establishment is an expert in making you believe that all of the above is how it should be, and that "more of the same" - status quo - is all we need. Weaving the tapestry, more and more intricate as their power increases. I warned about this four years ago, that the Biden administration should not take this lightly, that if he turns into "Status Joe" and just keeps repeating the madness, this is what will happen. Already around the world, editors, journalists and politicians have written doomsday articles about how the fascist Trump will make the US burn. Just know that these feeble people are scared. Not that Trump will actually set fire to the country, but that things will change enough that their comfortable lifestyle must change. Their greatest fear is that their relative position of power will come to an end. Don't be one of them. Spend the next four years rejecting all of these things that makes us less human and more like the AI that is supposed to replace us, in the name of money of course. Stop chasing that which brings out the worst in people. Reject this established "lifestyle" no matter who presides, because chances are it won't be that much of a difference when there are just two candidates to choose from, so the power to truly change things lies in your own hands, but in the spirit of cooperation, respect and care for all of your fellow humans. I hope you do.

Opened a JS project today that I hadn't touched for three whole months, in other words ancient. Horribly outdated packages, incorrect Node version, outdated tsconfig settings, incorrect Python version for gyp, needed major ESLint upgrade due to end-of-life support, etc etc. Fortunately I found a great utility for slashing through this horribly tangled JS jungle. With a simple: > pnpx taze major I was up to speed again with the latest dependencies. Thanks @antfu7 for such a simple and useful tool!

Regexp/validation tip: Validating a string with only min length is usually not enough, since it will accept whitespace and punctuation. But it's quite easy to validate against letters with a unicode regexp: More info, reference and some pitfalls at regular-expressions.info/uni…
