The Riverside 9/11 Stair Climb was a great success! Despite the rain, Tripp and Connor had almost 50 climbers and raised over $5000 for the AVFRD. Most of the participants had not even been born in 2001 yet they all climbed to honor the fallen from 9/11 and to remember!

I just found out the person killed in the Laguna Woods shooting yesterday was my primary care physician, Dr. John Cheng. Absolute hero. He attacked the gunman and helped save so many in that church. I just wanted his name to be known. He will be missed.

ACFD utilizes whole blood administration during severe trauma and medical emergencies to improve patient outcomes. ACFD’s Medical Director, Dr. Reed Smith donates his blood to ensure area blood banks have adequate supply. To date, we have given blood in the field over 15 times.
