When will someone teach U.S. diplomats that it is extremely disrespectful in Asia and many other regions to show the bottom of one's shoes during meetings with VIPs?

These articles are misleading at best. The Pew survey's 24 countries, while damning of China's efforts, only convey part of the story. Other polls in the Global South, such as the Afrobarometer & Arab Barometer, show that China is seen favorably, in fact, even more so than the US
