Favorite kind of week: a partner went from first call to live integration faster than they expected. That's the entire point of infrastructure. We absorb the complexity , chains, liquidity, smart contracts, regulation, so our partners ship a financial product instead of hiring a blockchain team. The best infrastructure is the kind nobody has to think about.

Latin America runs on two financial realities at once: economies dollarizing into digital assets, and economies with strong local currencies and the highest real rates in the world. The infrastructure that wins here has to orchestrate both from a single integration. That's exactly what we're building with @defindex_.

Writing this from Rio, and the most impressive thing here isn't the Cristo Redentor. It's watching a fruit vendor get paid by QR code. No card machine, no cash, no bank in sight. Not a tech person, not a finance person. Just how money works here now. PIX brought 70 million Brazilians into the financial system in five years and now moves 3x the country's GDP. Public infrastructure did in half a decade what card networks couldn't in fifty years. And it proved something bigger: when financial tools live inside apps people already trust, adoption isn't gradual. It's total. Payments were the first behavior to move into apps. Savings are next. People won't go to a bank branch to save. They won't download a new app for it either. They'll save inside the apps they already use every day, everywhere in the world. But for that to happen, those apps need yield infrastructure: licenses, treasury, strategies, risk management. Most wallets and fintechs will never build that themselves. That's what we build at @defindex_: the infrastructure that lets any wallet or fintech offer savings backed by on-chain yield strategies, without building any of it. Users keep control of their own funds the entire time. PIX changed how a country pays. The next change is how the world saves. We're building the rails for that one.

Writing smart contracts taught me how to climb. I got to the rock already thinking like a smart contract developer. Check the knot. Check your partner. Every step exists for a reason. You don't ask "will the rope hold?", you ask "what happens if this piece fails, and what catches me then?" Threat models. Always a backup. And you never climb alone: your partner checks you, you check them. Same rules, different wall: audits before launches, monitoring before scale, a partner checking every line. At @PaltaLabs we built @DeFindex_ and @SoroswapFinance working with audit firms like @osec_io and @rv_inc for exactly that reason. From the outside it looks boring. In financial infrastructure, boring isn't a bug. It's the product.

The bus driver that preferred my pesos: A while ago I was solo hitchhiking through Argentina. On a bad luck day, no rides, I gave up and took a bus. One problem: I had no local cash, only Chilean pesos. To my surprise, the driver was happy to take them. Later I understood why. The local currency was losing 30% in a month, 50% in a year. My foreign cash was a better store of value than the money in his own pocket. He was doing me a favor, and he was also saving. That's the problem @defindex_ exists to solve. We build the infrastructure that lets any wallet or fintech offer savings backed by on-chain yield strategies, so people can save in the asset and strategy they prefer, whatever their local currency is doing. And users keep control of their own funds the entire time. We're not a bank. We're the technology that lets fintechs give people savings tools that don't depend on the country printed on their passport. I'll be sharing how we're building this over the next few weeks.

The future of finance is embedded, programmable, and AI-native. Tomorrow, users won't open a banking app, they'll ask an agent, and infrastructure will quietly do the work. Interfaces will keep changing. The layer underneath won't. That's what we're building at @defindex_.

We've completed @defindex_'s APY Stabilizer design and code review. The engagement ran over two weeks, concluding in June 2026. The audit combined a design review with a manual code review, focusing on role-based access control correctness, fee-bounds and accounting invariants, and cross-contract interaction security. DeFindex is a multi-asset yield aggregator and a top-10 DeFi protocol on @StellarOrg by TVL, built by the @PaltaLabs team. The APY Stabilizer is an add-on that lets partner vaults offer their users a stable, predictable APY instead of one that tracks volatile strategy yields, implemented as two independent Soroban contracts coordinated by an off-chain service. The audit identified a series of findings ranging in severity. Our team collaborated closely with the DeFindex team throughout the process, with all identified issues addressed, or acknowledged, during the remediation period.
