Microsoft's WARN notice for layoffs was posted tonight. It lists 277 roles eliminated with a termination date of November 21.
The role descriptions are generic enough to make it hard to discern who of Halo Studios leadership, for instance, remains at Microsoft and who doesn't.

I think, regardless of the merits, there is a very clear playbook at work here in terms of looking at the only other IPs that have a chance of replicating some fraction of Call of Duty and Minecraft's commercial success and organizing them into similarly supersized Arks.
