It's difficult especially as an investigative journalist to get past the desire to nail the subject in black and white but once you understand the movie is not about proving Holmes is a liar but asking whether it's ever possible to arrive at the full truth of yourself or your subject then you can see it as a masterpiece
the annoying thing about the whole metaphysical “did Elizabeth Holmes knowingly lie or does she understand things differently” discourse is that it is a matter of public record that she just literally faked financial statements, altered documents, etc
