🔴 Ferrari : Hamilton et Leclerc demandent deux systèmes de direction différents à la Scuderia. - La direction assistée est gérée de manière électro-hydraulique par un système qui n’est ni de type « steer-by-wire », ni une simple direction assistée électrique automobile classique. Il existe une liaison mécanique entre le volant et les roues : la commande donnée par le pilote est transmise par la colonne de direction jusqu’à la crémaillère de direction, à partir de laquelle les tirants commandent les roues avant. À cette liaison s’ajoute l’assistance hydraulique : le système hydraulique génère une force qui facilite le déplacement de la crémaillère. - Sur une F1, une bonne direction assistée n’est pas nécessairement celle qui demande le moins d’effort possible. L’assistance doit donc trouver un compromis très délicat, en fonction du style de conduite du pilote. - L’arrivée de Lewis Hamilton a apporté un vent de changement sur le plan technique, même si comme c’est souvent le cas dans ce domaine, le processus est souvent progressif et par étapes. Entre autres choses, dont certaines ont été confirmées dans une récente interview accordée à La Repubblica, le Britannique avait également remis en question la sensation de conduite et la direction assistée.  - Hamilton avait demandé à l’équipe dirigée par Loïc Serra d’intervenir sur différents aspects de la monoplace afin d’améliorer les sensations de conduite. Le septuple champion du monde a confirmé avoir obtenu progressivement des modifications au niveau des freins, notamment le passage au fournisseur Carbone Industrie, du réglage, des suspensions, de la position du siège et de la configuration de la direction. Cette dernière remarque est particulièrement intéressante au vu des difficultés de sensation avec le système de direction apparues chez Ferrari dès 2025, bien que le Britannique n’ait pas précisé la nature des interventions effectuées.
