At a time when some AI music companies argue they have the right to build their AI models on musicians' work without permission or payment - and when musicians are increasingly worried about what this would mean for their future - it's really important that we celebrate the work of companies like Splash, who show that another approach is possible.
AI can benefit music and musicians - but only if AI companies license the music on which they build their products.
