BREAKING: The Supreme Court has - for the third time - blocked Missouri's new GOP-friendly congressional map. The Court stayed the Eighth Circuit's ruling in favor of the new map. This is an unsigned opinion with no dissents.

This is the third time the map has reached SCOTUS in a matter of weeks.
1. Missouri asks SCOTUS to stay the MO SC ruling which had blocked the 2025 map. Kavanaugh alone denied the stay, leaving the old map in effect
2. GOP-map proponents go to a federal court and get a TRO ordering the use of the new 2025 map. A group of organizers filed an emergency appeal to SCOTUS asking the Court to block that TRO. The full Court granted that stay, restoring the old map.
3. After the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled this week that the 2025 map should be used, that same group of organizers filed another emergency application, asking the Court to stay that ruling. Today, the Court stayed that ruling.

Judge Louise Flanagan has postponed the arraignment for former FBI Director James Comey in the “seashells” case, following a request from his attorneys to postpone all proceedings in light of his several attempts to '86' his case.
The arriagnment was set for Wednesday in North Carolina.

NEW: I reached out to the White House for comment on Judge Kelly's ruling at 2:28am ET. They finally responded at 3:24pm ET, referring me to the Micah Stopperich declaration, in which the Trump administration affirms the White House hard passes were restored.

NEW: Judge Kelly has set a briefing schedule for MS NOW/CNN/Politico's motion for a preliminary injunction-- longer term block on Trump's press ban.
The news outlets must file their motion by September 28. The Trump admin must reply by October 2. The news outlets must reply by October 5.
Kelly indicated he would set a hearing at a later date and "intends to rule expeditiously"

NEW: MS NOW/CNN/Politico has informed Judge Kelly that the White House denied entry to multiple journalists this morning. They’re saying the White House is not complying with his order.
Kelly has asked the Trump administration to respond by 12:30pm ET.
