Seconded. @AnthropicAI may think it's protecting its bottom line here but I will say that I will not spend a single red cent on them nor recommend that anyone else does until and unless they fix this. claude-bridge is a side hack that I'm grateful for but keenly aware that it could vanish any moment.
People of Pi, what are some of the best agentic experiences you have built or seen people build with Pi? What are some ways we could improve the experience for you?
Good afternoon from Vienna People of Pi ☀️
Some slightly different Sunday meditations today in which @mitsuhiko talks about some shared frustrations with agentic software engineering.
Remember that you're not alone in finding it harder than it looks!

Just shipped Jev-powered search in pi-mcp-adapter. Describe the job (not the tool name) and it can instantly find the right MCP tool. When I tested across 95 tools, Jev found the expected result on first attempt 91% of the time (and much faster) vs just 45% for regular search.

Classic programming books -> better words to steer AI agents. 💡
Listening to Matt Pocock on Pragmatic Engineer. He makes a good point to "mine" classic books for "leading words".
Because the ideas of these books stood the test of time and LLMs know about them, so using concise terms will help you steer them better (which goes back to the fact fundamentals matter so much these days!)
I concur with him that one of the best programming books is The Pragmatic Programmer.
I read the 1st edition a long time ago (I traced back a dedicated blog post from 2011! - will be fun to write one now 15 years later with new views + learnings vs what still sticks)
So yes, time for a re-read; just ordered the 20th Anniversary edition.
Have you read it?
Which "leading words" have you taken from it?
And any other timeless takeaways?

I wouldn't be totally surprised if the terminal hangs around for coding agents and programmers longer than we all think. Consider that those things are with us since the 70's.
Hello people of Pi. 0.86.0 is out now. It's a big one.
- mid-conversation system messages
- dynamic tools on supported models without losing the kv cache
- cache warming on anthropic
- faster -r/-c to resume
- lots of fixes
- /bug to report issues

I'm so suck of LLM generated replies on Twitter. I stopped replying almost entirely to my replies on my own Tweets because I expect all of them to just be LLM slop. Why are y'all doing this?
We do two things, we expose a command line tool “xo” to drive Xogot remotely with your existing favorite agent and a skill file to go with it (because I am a member of the MCP-is-bloat church) or you can use the built-in one powered by Pi.
Claude Fable 5.1 is INCREDIBLE At Making Godot Games on Mac with Xogot!
See what happens when @LettaCorp pairs Claude with Xogot for Mac beta on his new MacBook Neo.
Xogot’s CLI tools + bundled skills let Fable interact directly with the editor, giving AI a much deeper way to build with Godot:
