Earlier today, we detected evidence of a security incident on #AO3. We are still in the early stages of investigating. No AO3 data has been deleted. All your works, bookmarks, kudos, etc., are safe. Learn more at otwstatus.org/incidents/g12j…
We estimate that service restoration for #AO3 will take around 2 weeks but it could be up to 4 weeks. We are hopeful that we will be able to bring the site back up in a degraded state sooner. Refer to our status page for updates: otwstatus.org/

This is very random and potentially unhelpful, but I have an ungodly amount of fics downloaded, so dm me anytime if you’re looking for one. Maybe I have it saved somewhere 😅

if ao3 means so much to you and is such a big part of your daily life that you feel the weight of its absence now, let it also be a reminder about the importance of leaving kudos and comments even if its just a simple "i loved this!" to show writers you care about their hard work

hi friends! ik i've been mia, but given the current situation: pls don't upload my fics as pdfs/epubs to public google drives. sharing privately is okay! but i'm not comfortable with them being crossposted everywhere. i don't allow reposts & i'd appreciate if you respected that💜

people asking why ao3 didn’t give a heads up. imo the issue is unexpected to them too. they always give a heads up in the past
that said, ao3 is run by VOLUNTEERS. they don’t get paid. please be kind, patient and respectful to them
thank you ao3 volunteers for all that you do
#AO3 maintenance is in progress. We expect it to take at least 12 hours, but it may take longer. We will provide updates as necessary. Refer to our status page for updates: otwstatus.org/incidents/g12j…
