i love how nearly every OCD person is like “exposure therapy was actual hell and i hated it the whole time and i almost quit like once a week. 10/10, highly recommend”
I’m reading this tiktok comment section about what people have done in OCD therapy and I may have found my new occupation

Can you imagine someone writing English of this magnificence and splendour being appointed to teach postgraduate students at Delhi University? Meet Dr Geeta Rani, now an Associate Professor in Delhi University's English Department. A quick tour through her CV follows. :-) (1/3)

tw // wrote about this not too long ago bc wdym attraction to men signals availability and incentivizes sexual assault? a lot of people stopped saying bi women are “available to men” bc they were tired of being called out for that, but they never stopped believing it.
some of the rhetoric on this app re: label & consent is egregious icl. a man shouldn’t be harassing a woman for sex, period. the presence or absence of her attraction to men is irrelevant. those of us who are attracted to men shouldn’t be subjected to male harassment bc of it.

the logical takeaway from which is that pleasure isn't a pure enough reason to have sex, some mystical magical version of lesbian attraction is. gross.
Replying to @chaostragicx
we are not saying it you cum with a man you’re bisexual, but if you’re actively seeking out men to sleep with you are NOT a lesbian

blown away by the insight
as a corrective assault survivor, i will say that a lot of the people who are purporting to defend me are arguing that capacity for arousal with a man is more important than your knowledge of yourself, which imo is way closer to corrective rhetoric than anything KP or others said

a hilarious question. yes! get into queer history even a little bit and it’s full of lesbians complaining about lesbians. only arguably different flavors of it

using sign signifier is so interesting here because you solved it for yourself! there IS a relationship they have decided that their pronouns and gender have. they are not decoupled. but it can be once of contrary because the sign-signifier relationship IS famously arbitrary!
“pronouns aren’t gender” always stuck w me. like clearly it’s a symptom of gender and we use them to indicate gender. U can treat trans and non binary ppl with dignity without the genderutopian notion that u can decouple the sign from the signifier and tht nothing means anything

and meaning is produced through a difference of signs and no positive meaning or essence. so if gender here is the signified, it is only empty of an essence the way you want it to be!

immutability is fiction, and i am still feeling for these beautiful women without having to believe their experience is immutable
Every last person who has been engaging in the lesbian erasure recently needs to see this. Lesbians are women who are exclusively and immutably attracted to women only. Please stop erasing the very reality that we cannot control nor did we choose. Please leave lesbians alone.

it’s so evil. like lesbians should be able to do whatever they want with their own bodies for whatever reason, but also if a lesbian sleeps with a man for complex and potentially unhealthy reasons, they’re going to be injured further by being accused of being complicit in rape!

vile thing to say. "own fault" STAND UP
Replying to @myaltfr @st0lencats
see this type of response is your own fault. it’s why lesbians don’t like “lesbians can enjoy sleeping with men!” bullshit.

can doesn't mean "must" or even "should" but you would know that if you actually knew how to read instead of buzzwording through life
"Lesbians can sleep with men" "Gay man can sleep with woman" White queers are agents of rape culture and need to be gone from every queer discourse in existence

this is the same reason they believe lesbians cannot have sex with men without being attracted to them while bi/straight women can and how the former is "rape" under all circumstances because they think liking a gender makes you have some kind of tolerance for all of them
a lot of lesbians seem to think men's unwanted advances toward us are a special kind of bad when uhhh bi and straight women say "no" to men all the time and also get ignored and that is actually just as bad! them experiencing attraction to men doesn't change that!

"gay will lose all meaning" babe even straight doesn't have meaning like some magical essense inside human beings, UNCLENCH. people having non-neatly categorisable sex is not destroying the gay cause
Replying to @reluctantlyjoe
And y’all will destroy us from the inside like parasites. Because of you, being gay will lose all meaning. You’ll confirm that it’s a choice and that gays are into women, etc and the most frustrating part is that spicy straights like you won’t suffer any of the consequences of it

Yes. Yes. Yes. I do think our minds are wired by picket fences somehow. So much is fluid. Nothing is settled or finished. But our ideas of personhood are predicated on “completion” and closure. Every day, talking to my teens, I’m reminded why that’s a mistake.

Identities are in flux and contested; they’re about group belonging, desire, and action. They are made by language, and make language.
I’m a bi guy who has mostly dated men in the last few years and I call myself gay all the time, please touch grass.
