There are so many ways to use @FlareNetworks...

Congrats on the keynote! I came across your article "Can the Journal Delete It?" and your line "a record should remain that this was done" is exactly what I'm building: a public log that keeps every version of a paper's record. Would you be open to a look?

We are building Emberhold in the open, and we want you in on it. This video is a real game, bugs and all. The secret goal was to hold 10 provinces from a start of 3. You will see a move planned, a pact weighed, and fixes made between turns. It is the first game in the FlareForward Arcade and it is free on Coston2 with test FLR. Every game you play shows us what feels wrong. Tell us and we will change it. arcade.flareforward.com

To all my amazing community @FlareNetworks family, I have to say this: please take a moment to read this. Flare and @HugoPhilion has always been transparent about where they are going, right? They were chasing institutional money. You guys don't understand this, and you've never tried to land, I don't think, a $1 million contract, a multimillion-dollar project, or a $100 million contract. The amount of hurdles you have to overcome to accomplish the goal is a lot! Right @HugoPhilion Flare way back set out for institutional money. That was their goal, right? They made that very clear. What that means, guys, is lots of silence. That is the trade-off because you don't get the win right away. You spend months grinding out to a win, and then you lose something, and then you have to spend months again grinding out another win. That is where Flare is at. If you think there's some multibillion-dollar operation that has unlimited resources, you've vastly overrated their capability. And to be honest, resources... nitter.net/geek_hub1800/status/21…
Those people also bring liquidity. Look at memecoins and hyped projects with no product. Price and attention still come from speculation first. You can build for big money without pretending retail flow doesn’t matter.

Quick FlareForward update: three things we are building, and one ask before Saturday. The Reef. Published science can be changed after the fact without anyone being told. Researchers documented 131 papers altered with no correction notice. The Reef records papers on Flare so the record cannot be taken down, and any later update is added on chain as a tag instead of a silent edit. It is built. Now we are finding the people who need it. radboudumc.nl/en/news-items/… The Arcade. arcade.flareforward.com is live with our first game, Emberhold. Five players, secret orders, pacts you can keep or break. No dice and no prize. It is free right now on Flare's test network, and no part of a seat will ever come to us. Come play and tell us what breaks. Four or five more games are lined up behind it. The ask. All of this runs on our FTSO, and the self-bond behind our validator is what keeps it going. Bond NFTs add FLR straight to that bond. This mint window closes Saturday, Sep 26, when the bond period ends and the capital is locked for the next 60 days. Open now: Lot 1 at 2,500 FLR (979 left) and Lot 2 at 10,000 FLR (223 left). Read the page before you mint. It tells you plainly who holds the money. ftso.flareforward.com/nft Delegating or staking with us helps too. Thank you, and God bless.

We built a game on @FlareNetworks . It is on Coston2 today and it costs nothing to play. Emberhold: five wallets, one map, seven turns, one turn a day. Each turn you secretly order every army to hold, move or support. All orders resolve at once, so nobody knows what happened until it has happened. Pacts are written on chain. Break one and it stays against your wallet. No prize, no pot, nobody paid. When it goes live on Flare a seat is about a quarter, and all of it burns. This is the first game design out of this team. If it is bad, tell us what is bad. That gives us something to work with. Bots are in there if you want to learn before you sit down with people. Play free with test FLR, or watch a finished game: arcade.flareforward.com

Who doesn't love a weekend project...

24 hours after opening those positions, the unglamorous half of options: getting out. Three things that chapter taught me. A spread does not have to be all or nothing. I closed part of one position and let the remainder run. The direction of the exit flips with the direction of the entry. Bought it? Sell to close. Sold it? Buy to close. Obvious written down, easy to fumble live. And one leg I simply could not exit - no bid on the book at any size. Small markets are still real markets, and RFQ exists precisely for that: you ask the market makers for a price instead of hoping the book has one. Entries are the part everyone posts about. Exits are the part that decides how it ends. We teach this from scratch at DeFi University: defiuniversitypro.com

If nobody cares it’s an odd coincidence then that voting on XRPL for the amendment that will further the Flare Smart Account functionality went from 60% to 80% in a weekend.

A straddle does not care which direction price goes. It cares that it goes. Buy a call and a put at the same strike: you profit on a large move either way, and you lose if nothing happens. Spread those strikes apart and it is a strangle - wider, cheaper, needs a bigger move. Sell that structure instead and you have an iron condor, which pays while nothing happens and hurts badly when something does. This is the thing a perp cannot express. You are no longer forecasting direction, you are forecasting movement. Genuine open question for anyone running concentrated liquidity: has anybody hedged an LP range with a strangle sized to the range edges? In range you earn fees and bleed the premium; out of range the option is supposed to cover what impermanent loss took. I want to run that experiment on Flare. If you have already tried it, I would like to hear how it actually behaved. DeFi University - the 101 tier is free: defiuniversitypro.com

Verifiable compute is @FlareNetworks' s-curve layer, and it runs on the same data primitives. Same infrastructure, bigger surface And it feeds the same place: FIRE.
As its Alt SZN (TM) I wanted to recapitulate the Flare offering. • Flare is the only major L1 with a built in data. • That data is used to power onchain markets and interoperability with tokens like XRP and Bitcoin which have historically been massively underutilised. The utility just from this is huge - Firelight, the entire DeFi ecosystem in Flare, Flare smart accounts etc. This is where we are today but the best is yet to come… read on • Those same data capabilities are being used to assure a verifiable compute layer that sits above Flare. • Verifiable compute lets you run huge programs (example - a whole LLM) privately and with sufficient security to use the results onchain. The use cases for the combination of Flare’s data, interoperability and compute are manyfold: Protocol managed wallets which let a decentralised application on Flare take actions on any chain. Autonomous crypto or RWA portfolio creation & management. Private data streams that can interact with applications - so a public app can use data that can’t be exposed publicly but a user can be certain that the data came from the correct source. Applications built directly on chains like XRP (with baked in privacy). Private equity or perps markets. Privacy tooling that can be applied to other markets. Private and verifiable agents. These are just a few of the ones that appeal to me. Everything feeds revenue into FIRE - the Flare mechanism for buying back the FLR token. We are ALL early.

The Greeks look like a math exam. They are four ratios, and you can do all of them in your head. Delta - speed. Asset moves $1, an option with 0.50 delta moves about 50 cents. Gamma - acceleration. How fast delta itself changes. Highest at the money, near expiry. Theta - the daily rent. Negative if you bought, positive if you sold. Vega - how much a 1% change in implied volatility moves your price. Buyers want delta and gamma working for them and theta small. Sellers want the opposite - they are running out the clock on purpose. That is the whole exam. The intimidation is the notation, not the math. It really all about the abstraction that @FlareNetworks smart account make possible. Just so exciting
Replying to @krippenreiter
Let me show you why Flare Smart Accounts are such a big deal. One or two clicks and you're in an automated strategy. You pick what you want to happen, you sign, and it goes. Starting from XRP or starting from FLR makes no difference the conversion stops being something you have to think about. It's been running its test paces for a couple of days now. Every few hours, buying or selling, no hands on it. Beautiful project. Genuinely excited about what this network can do.

LETS GO!!!!!
I really want to enable users to borrow RLUSD against their XRP directly from the XRP ledger (using Flare smart accounts) AND receive their borrowed RLUSD ON the XRP ledger. In order for that to happen I need the Wormhole RLUSD bridge to be up. For that to happen I need XRP validators to approve: xrpscan.com/amendment/Permis…

The invisible number in options is implied volatility. Buy options and you want IV to rise. Sell them and you want it to fall. Same contract, opposite wish. It reads a bit like RSI - not a signal, a context gauge. When a name has sat at 40% IV for a month, options on it are cheap. Right after the market convulses, you are paying the panic price for the same contract. Which is the counterintuitive part: boring markets are when options get cheap. The moment it is obvious something will move, you have already paid for the move. Nobody explains that to beginners, and it is why the first put you buy so often disappoints you. Call for Support.... 10 days left. When the current bond period ends, minting closes and everything raised goes into the self-bond behind our FTSO validator locked in for the next 60 days. That's the whole idea. A bigger self-bond means a bigger validator. A bigger validator earns more. And because the bond is our own stake, no delegation fee comes off it. This is the most direct way there is to back what we build. You're not buying a token off an exchange and hoping. You're funding the specific thing that makes the infrastructure run, and you hold a piece of what it produces. Plus the art, which I'm not going to pretend I don't like. Where the lots stand right now, straight off the contracts: · Lot 1 · 10,000 FLR — SOLD OUT. 250 of 250. · Lot 1 · 2,500 FLR — 21 of 1,000. The accessible entry. · Lot 2 · 10,000 FLR — 27 of 250. Whale walks through the whole thing below minting, what you'll see, how to find your bonds afterward. Terms, rates and risks are all on the page: ftso.flareforward.com/nft 10 days. Then it locks for 60.
