Valve says Deadlock is unfinished and still isn’t ready for a full public release. The game is still being heavily developed, and Valve says there’s “a good amount of work” left before the final polish stage. The team is already working on hero cosmetics, hideout customization, progression systems and new game modes, but some of these ideas are still experimental. “We’re still in the middle of building out the core game.” On Deadlock’s future, the team says: “We’re experimenting with different progression systems, hero customization, and new game modes.”
