We can't talk about responsibilities of political activism re: masking until we correctly apprehend the problem, but nobody complaining understands why the making debate happens. No one is on neutral ground. The system has incorporated you into its disciplining of society.

People who end up on the other end of that violence are not reaching out to you, a perfectly neutral subject, to win you over. They are pointing out that you no longer live in a society that has concern for basic health, and that you have been turned into a facilitator of death.

Which is a big problem of vulgar Marxism. There are tools in Marxism that allow you to understand social dynamics such a this, but people like this idea that there is a working class that somehow does not perpetuate the society, and are just totally neutral subjects.

That has never been the case. A ruling class always relies on us doing most of the work. Not just in labor, but in punishing one another. That can happen with anti-solidaristic types of agitation, sure, but the system also applies violence through unconscious social practices.
