“If you got $1M and spent $250K on a car, leaving you with $750K, and now you can’t go on that vacation because you spent too much on the car, then you don’t understand the purpose of money. Money is supposed to make you free and comfortable enough to do what you want.” Luca Netz explains what he believes is the real luxury of having money and why freedom matters more than expensive things. Luca: “Money is just a tool for freedom. At a certain point, if you are spending your money for things or objects that ultimately don’t make you free and happy, then you don’t understand the purpose of money. It’s tying you down more than anything. I think the ability to be free, knowing that I could hop on a jet tomorrow and go to Europe if I wanted to, is a really great feeling.”
