⚠️ This Thursday, across some routes in Greater Manchester, the North West and Yorkshire we’ll be running a reduced timetable due to the extreme heat. 🚆 High temperatures increase the risk of issues on the railway and the reliability of trains which means we have to make adjustments to our usual timetable to keep as many trains running as possible. 👉 To find out which routes that are affected, and for the latest information, head over to our website: northernrailway.co.uk/travel… ⏰ If you are travelling make sure you allow plenty of time and check before you travel. 💧 Thanks for bearing with us and make sure to bring plenty of water!

The last month in part was challenging for the railway. Despite this, we’ve experienced growth ahead of national and regional benchmarks. Overall demand is up +3.7% vs last year, local highlights being Leeds-York & Manchester-Crewe both up by +12% and Mcr-Blackburn up by +8%.
